Djokovic Post Surgery Rehab - Video

The man is psychotic. Guess that’s what it takes to be GOAT though. Dude had a resume no one will ever have again and he’s already back on a bike after surgery in his late 30’s. Did he sell his soul to the devil or what like that movie Crossroads with the Karate kid Ralph Macchio

I love the guitar battle with Steve Vai.

Best part of the entire film!!

Steve is the GOAT in my book (sorry Eddie.)

I think he would rather have that Olympic gold medal since it's eluded him for all of these years.

Well I do think it’s dumb to think that way, hopefully Djokovic stops being dumb and focuses on the slams instead.

All tennis pros do make public comments that the Olympics are special to play but for me I would still rather have a slam win than an Olympic gold win

His level of motivation is insane. Dude is insane, just unreal

He has won 7(!) wimbys. OG is the missing link. He needs to win that. No one cares about another wimbledon title for djokovic against weakest grass court competition ever

But everyone cares about 25 slams and breaking the all time tie with Court.

Buddy thats only you! Everyone else in the world including djokovic himself wants the exact opposite here

How would him breaking a women's record improve his standing among men tennis players? I have never understood this logic

Because he is going for the all time record between mens and womens. The same way he took the weeks at number one from Graf last year, when he broke her 377 record.

And the media continue to bring it into discussion that he equalled Court, heck they said it as soon as he won USO 2023.

The all time slam record is the pinnacle. He wants to be the player who won more slams than any mens or womens single player ever.

Yeah I get all that, but I personally dont understand this logic. I really really dont. The media will literally hype up anything since they want to create news all the time. That's their job. That doesnt mean what theyre saying, or what their opinion is, holds merit in everything. They are also people, just like us, who can be right and wrong.
Men and women tennis are so vastly different! I think we can all acknowledge this. Sampras or Borg, when they were considered the among the, or THE greatests, in their times, were not even close to Court's slam record, nor did anyone bring it up then, to crown them the greatest. Why not have the same energy now? For me, court's slam record is very nuanced even amongst women's tennis. Everyone considers Graff and Serena to be better than Court even though I am not sure either of them have crossed court's record. So if women are not judged by it, why should Djokovic be burdened by it? He already has the slam record and will continue to have it for many many many years. Any women's record, especially Court's record, is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT to men's records. This is just media hyping it up, to create news, and Djokovic using it as a source of motivation (we all know he's struggling with motivation since he's literally achieved everything there is). That doesnt mean this is a real thing

I get your points, but we are talking about tennis history here.

The fact that Court's name is mentioned now more than ever before is a testament to how big it is seen on the bigger stage. There are constant visual displays showing who has the most slams, and the women and men are put together.

Does Djokovic solely own the mens singles all time slam record? Yes.

Does Djokovic solely own the singles all time slam record? No. He shares it with Court.

Breaking the tie with Court will be the absolute zenith of the sport.....no abled body player in singles history would have won more slams than him.

It is what it is. I would prefer it wasn't, but that is what it is.

Graf's golden slam was getting mentioned non stop in 2021 when Djokovic won the first three slams....they were saying it would be first time since 1988, not first time ever that it was done.

His biggest goal is breaking that slam record tie with Court, only then does all the media shut down with the comparison. He will stand alone.

Again, youre getting heavily influenced by the media hype. What about your opinions independant of what the media says? Do you, personally. really think court's record really relates to men's tennis? Thats all that matters. What youre basically thinking is, "what will people say" whereas i couldnt care less about that. "what do I think about this" is the only thing that matters.
Also what is the source of your tennis media? Espn? Tennis Channel? What?
I think after a few years, if djokovic never wins another slam, no one care about him tying the slam record with court. It's just a hype that is in the media right now. Do you really think people still say, oh djokovic never completed the golden slam in 2021 but Graff did, hence graff is better than him. No one, right now, is even associating their respective records to each other. That was a temporary media hype to get viewership, and so is this one. This will die down after a bit. I remember all the media hype when Serena was trying to win another slam to tie (or win? cant remember which one) Court's record. But when she retired without getting that record, people forgot about court and is a pretty unanimous female goat along with graff. So this is just temporary media hype that will go away soon.
Btw Djokovic is still very much good enough to have one last great run in him. IMO he will win more than 1 slam more. I am not counting him out just because of a few bad months

When players themselves have mentioned Court, it cannot just be swept under the rug.

Djokovic's ultimate goal is to break the tie with Court and stand alone. That 25th slam is the pinnacle of it all. The absolute peak of the peak.

Now, personally I am very happy with his career, he already has done more than I thought was possible, he will retire with all the mens records at this point. Can he win one more slam? Who knows? We will see how it goes.

It seems the guy training him said not to count him out for Wimbledon. That doesn’t seem believable, but who knows with the legendary healing powers of Djokovic.

If Djokovic is coming back for Wimbledon that is crazy. The event is starting in about two weeks and he is still recovering from surgery. Of course he knows better than me, but Wimbledon is too soon IMO, heck even Olynpics is.

Ya, mostly won’t play. Have zero hopes this Wimbledon.

But hey, if he plays - with 1 leg - I can see him reaching quarters min lol

Honestly don't see the point of playing a slam since soon after surgery. Best option is to recover, and see if he can come for the Olympics, he then has a lot to defend in NA and needs to be ready for that.

I am not counting on him playing Wimbledon.

Nadal fans boosting the Olympics over Wimbledon now. The fact that Djokovic will most likely have to skip Wimbledon is a huge blow. Not many of us care about the Olympics. Slams over everything is my motto.

Well you don't represent everybody, because I've seen countless Djokovic fans say the Olympics is the priority this summer. Seems like a pretty even divide from what I can tell.

This has nothing to do with Nadal fans.

Djokovic cares about the Olympics. I don't really, same for many Djokovic fans. No way would the Olympics ever be put over Wimbledon. I don't know what made you think your input was needed, since you're not even a Nadal fan.

I would have counted him out for Olympics too after hearing he had a bucket handle tear that was repaired - then I saw the video. Not what you would expect a week after surgery for normal recovery - clearly he is not ‘normal’ and some kind of super healer.

That video isn't showing everything. It's basically saying he is making progress, which is good, but comparing that to seven best of five sets is completely different. He would need a lot of hours on the court first, he hasn't even hit a single ball.
