Djokovic schedule for 2024!

He will play:
- Australian open,
- South American clay and skip the sunshine double
- European clay

Djokovic's main focus for next year will be Monte Carlo, Roland garros and the Olympic games.

Djokovic aiming to surpass Margaret Court in the Slam count and also going to try to pass Ken Rosewall to become the oldest player in history to win a major. Rosewall was 37 and just under 2 months.

I find it hard to believe he will skip both IW and Miami after not being able to play for so long and already having underwhelming results for quite some time even prior to that...maybe he'll skip one (likely Miami), but both of them? Don't see it...at least he will want to try and win 6th IW to break the tie with Federer for tournament record (not saying he'll necessary manage that, but he'll certainly will be motivated to at least try), so press "F" to doubt...

I doubt Novak cares about such trivial stat. He only cares about the Olympic Gold and Slams at this point. It's quite possible que skips both Masters 1000 and jumps directly to Montecarlo. What's the point of playing Miami or IW when they don't warm up for any Slam on hard? At his age he wants to save energy for Slams + Olympics, and he only risks an injury or tiredness playing Miami or IW.

Save his energy? What are you talking about?! LOL There is an almost month long gap between AO final and the start of IW and then there is another month between IW and MC masters! The whole month is not enough to recharge energy??...LOL Why do you make him sound like some 50 years old, that can barely walk anymore much less run, he is healthy 36 years old (will be close to 37 by that point, but my point still stands...) he can afford playing an elite event without jeopardizing his health and fitness by having only one moth break! Cut the pessimism off! LMAO

Pretty sure he plays a warmup tournament before AO. Either the United Cup or Adelaïde.
Then he usually plays Dubaï... He signed a 5 years contract with the tournament, I don't think it's up.
Miami conditions are too warm for him and he hated the hard rock stadium in 2019. I think he should play IW and skip Miami...

Then I hope he plays Monte-Carlo and since Belgrade was upgraded to ATP500, he most likely plays this too. He should skip Madrid or Rome... or both. He can adapt to the RG surface fast...

Sport said correctly.

36 is very old. Most players retired at 36. If not retired, then got gravely injured.

This is not walk in the park to compare him to normal people who can barely run at 50.

Yes, this and hundred times this! Except i wouldn't play anything between AO and clay season other than IW (i would definitely advice to skip Dubai), but if you say he is bound by contract to go there - then it seems highly unlikely...but then again with all the current affairs going on on the middle eastern front we don't know what political and geopolitical situation will be even next moth let alone next year, so it's a good chance tournament won't even take place to even start with come February...

I don't see how playing one tournament the entire month apart from AO and MC in both directions change things that much...people exaggerate the physical preparation it requires for highly motivated player like Novak to be able to compete at highest level at the event such as IW...it's not as bad as you make it sound...LOL He has to go through 6 rounds full of next gen chokers and mugs and maybe at very most having to play one or two highly competitive matches! He'll manage it, 36 or otherwise...LOL

If changes a lot. We don't want Nole to stop unlike Nadal who always overplayed.

Also who cares about iw. It's Olympics season.

No it's not! LOL He has a month long break between IW and MC, how is that not enough??...so what he should do now according to you, show up like 6 times in a year for 6 tournaments and that's it? Federer played sunshine double at 36 and was one match away from winning both and Novak can't play only ONE of them at the age of 36?? get outta here! LOL

That's not enough at all. Nole has to play peak tennis only at slams. Everything else is bs.

To be honest i think it would be almost identical to these year as well as that of 2021.Probably only difference playing IW but not Serbia Open and Olympics ahead of Cincinnati

Belgrade is canceled

Where did you read this? As far as I know, they held the tournament in Banja Luka this year, because the Djokovic family was in negotiations with the ATP to get a licence (in order to upgrade it from ATP250 to ATP500). I know Münich, Dallas and Doha will be upgrated to ATP500 in 2025. But haven't heard anything new about Belgrade.

Belgrade had a temporary licence and rights have gone back to Bucharest and it will be a 250.

You can also check official Atp calendar for 2024 on their site, there is one empty slot for the above mentioned week for a 250 tournament.

With ATP increasing durations of Masters level tournaments, there will be less smaller tournaments.
