It is a very good thing for Asics and a bit of a problem for Adidas.
However, Adidas is clearly aiming at younger customers.

Great to see this today. I love Asics quality. And to be honest, Asics kit aesthetics in 2017 was probably my favourite widespread tennis apparels - always enjoyed watching the Asics players play. Federer and Nadal specials were great too, but for the most part the mainstream Nike and Adidas kits were boringgggggggg.

I'm so late to the party... I was watching highlights of Joker's match with Thiem and the Asics shoes popped out to me like a glaring mistake. I rewound the video several times to verify what I saw and sure enough: Asics shoes. Wow. It's so weird to not see the familiar three stripes on his feet. Coincidentally, before the start of the late winter/spring season I was going to try out Asics instead of my usual Nike kicks. I wonder if Joker's endorsement is going to jack up the price of Asics tennis shoes?

The face on the tag is an adidas detail from way back in the day. And I appreciate it as all the adi greats got that. On the other hand, I wish asics wouldn't do it as it is not their thing. A nice Djokovic logo on the side would be enough.

ND on the back, dove on the tongue loop. At least I think his logo is an ND, I've never figured that one out.

To me, his logo is a D that's drawn by a bouncing tennis ball. I guess it leaves up to us to see what we want to see. Good logo (not great, though.)

That said, it seems they are nearly always on sale - normally older color ways - and can be bought for very reasonable prices.

They aren't heavily discounted. The best I have done is 95 euro for a pair of SS's. Their running shoes are almost untouchable, and if you find them heavily discounted, you never find your size.

Are Asics so good? Is it Gel or smth else? Just can't push myself to buy a single pair 'cause i don't like their style. Got about 20 pairs, mostly Adidas, Nike and NB.love em' - I want them!!! ughhhh, but I already have 4 pairs (and 3 pairs of Res 5's) ....okay I'll give in, next paycheck.

Agreed with your style comment. They used to be pretty busy looking, now they got much better. I think one has to get used to their busy logo on a tennis shoe and they will be fine.

This, although I could use some more room in the toebox.
As for style, their busy logo incorporates a lot better with the multi panelled modern shoes than a huge swoosh.
