Djokovic: Stan has the best 1hbh on tour

No better authority than Djoker perhaps on this, and the fact that Stan's used it to outgun so many top players adds credence to it. Not bandwagoning and no recency factor to this.

"He has probably the best one-handed backhand on the tour. No question, one of the best one-handed backhands that I have seen in tennis,'' Djokovic said. "It's very powerful and can create a lot of spin, a lot of rotation on the ball. He can hit it flat down the line. He can block the ball very well. He has a short slice, long slice. He has a lot of variety from that part of his baseline game.''

And firepanda said Stan had no tactics in the match today.

Its the best 1 hander and in my opinion the best overall backhand on tour. He has pretty good point construction and generally picks the right location angle and pace too.

He doesn't seem to find the sublime angles like Almagro but it's so effective when he flattens it out DTL. Had Djoko on his heels so many times during the match and placed Wawa in a winning position in the rally.
