Djoker would be universally acknowledged as GOAT if he played with that hat.

Well-off people flouting social norms usually hide behind the excuse of charity. Otherwise it just looks like an excuse for a party or a social gathering of whatever kind.

Did not think of that. How deviously clever. Very impressed.
You do seem to know all the plays in the dirty tricks handbook.

Would the fact that this event was to benefit covid victims be considered the ultimate irony?

irony

irony (noun) · ironies (plural noun) · dramatic irony (noun) · tragic irony (plural noun)
    • a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result.

    • a literary technique, originally used in Greek tragedy, by which the full significance of a character's words or actions are clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character.

It's what the well-off have been doing from the beginning of civilisation.

And, yes, spreading the virus by holding a benefit for its victims is indeed the ultimate in irony.

It would be worthy of a Seinfeld episode.

It's like when George had to give all Susan's money away. Money which he would have enjoyed had he not selfishly if unintentionally killed her.

Did not think of that. How deviously clever. Very impressed.

Seinfeld episode? How wonderful you are able to find an element of humour in the midst of this tragic ill-fated tournament.
:(

But there is often a thin line between tragedy and comedy.

Please don't forget the peaceful protesters toppling the beautiful statue of an Abolitionist. Now THAT is the ultimate in irony. Don't know whether to laugh or cry.

What ironical times we live in!

The damage has already been done(Adria Tour). Where I live in the UK just now I searched for Djokovic in Google, with no location blocking on my part, the top 2 stories ATM are from former Man Utd player Nemenja Matic and the Serbian Prime Minister herself Ana Brnabic going public with statements defending Djokovic.

The fallout of the Adria Tour will stay with him for the rest of his career and probably after as well considering I still read from time to time comments about Boris Becker's broom cupboard escapade in a London(?) restaurant decades ago.

Nonsense! Djoker went straight into isolation after testing positive. Zverev said he would isolate but went straight to a crowded bar after 6 days.

Zverev is supposed to be the next #1 player.

If Zverev does not get slammed for what he did neither should Djoker.

The fallout as in the negative press he has received.

Let's hope Djoker is treated fairly by the media.

Zverev, Dmitrov, Thiem and others all came willingly to this charity tournament. They are all wealthy stars and capable of making their own decision.

Djoker organized the tournament but nobody twisted their arms. Nobody forced Zverev to dance topless at Serbian night clubs. These are all grown men here.

4/5 on the basketball team tested positive except Zverev. But Zverev still goes to a crowded bar 6 days later. He was negative but there was still a 14 day window where he could potentially spread. All four of his teammates tested positive so Zverev needed to exercise caution. He said it himself. "I will isolate 14 days." Zverev broke his own promise.

Djoker chose not to say a word, this means Djoker is playing everything his dad says, just like I thought.

Totally agreed. Not one word in defense of Dimitrov for the comments that his father made essentially blaming everything on Grigor. Guess when the chips are down you know who your true friends are.
How do you know he didn't personally (and privately) apologize to Dimitrov?

Unavoidably for Djokovic he is is by far the better more decorated player and importantly the organiser so for the media he naturally qualifies as the bigger more 'newsworthy' target to focus on. As such the others will get away with less attention.

Not only that, but she took the blame on Serbian government and herself. Basically, she said they relaxed the general regulations too much and too early.

Eventually the questions will come when he's done with isolation and begins to play again. Not sure just how much access that the media will have. Maybe he will provide some answers, but for now it's not a good look at all. He'll probably never say anything publically about his father. I understand that in a way. He's his father after all. He needs to shut him down privately if nothing else before he makes things impossible for him. If he continues to allow him to speak out negatively like he is, I myself will have no choice but to believe that he condones it. Already leaning that way as it is.

Murray is addicted to video games.

What would Rand Paul really know? And it's amusing to see a libertarian advocating compulsory schooling. In Britain they will fine parents for not risking sending their children back to school.

You can re-open the tennis season easily enough without fans, but the question is whether tennis players should be compelled to compete. As it stands, some can choose because of seniority rules.

Meanwhile back at the ranch :

Do topless men still excite your girlish demeanour?

We shall meet and play sets. I may even donate some games to you if I am feeling generous that day.
I will give you a great big bear hug at the net and then we shall go for drinks.
Loser buys ... That would be you!

You're the one playing the "qualifications game" see your post below :

If you are playing the qualifications game then Fauci is the only of these three with any credibility in this area.

What would Rand Paul really know?
So you don't have a degree in anything (shoe sales at Macy's maybe?). Did you graduate from high school? Yet you think you are more clever then two physician/US Senators--yes I would call them well qualified--Fauci's a nattering nabob of negativity with a clear political agenda--he is gleeful with all the devastation he is reeking.

Djokovic doesn't seem to have scientific mind but more emotional and spiritual mind. Not surprising, he seemed to believe Covid19 was not real.

If you think senators are intelligent then you are lost. They are owned and operated by others.

I'm definitely cleverer than all three outside medical science, but one doesn't need a qualification to see that you are on the alt-right end of the spectrum.

You may think that someone analysing a situation coldly is really creating that situation, but most people have long since gotten beyond the sureshsian hope that the pandemic will be over by April.

You need to lay off the wacky tabacky your above sentence is unintelligible. So you didn't graduate from high school either. The "pandemic" will be over after the election is.

I don’t understand why he can’t make a statement saying he loves and respects his father, but does not agree with his perspectives.

You think that Fauci and others created the pandemic to cruel Trump's chances, so clearly you believe in the power of those liberal faeries at the bottom of your garden.

you mean more indoctrination by liberal controlled academia. Got it.

You could get away with that if his Covid Tour was a roarly success, but he did it his way and the complete diabolical disaster that it turned out to be showed the experts were right and he (and you) are wrong.
