The battle for 100 match wins begins.

Djokovic is on 99 match wins, this is his first attempt to make it 100 wins.

Can he do the unthinkable and become the first player to win 100 matches at three different slams on three different surfaces? Or does the dream need to wait for another year? Can Martinez end the dream?

Find out in the next exciting adventure of Dragon Ball Z

After Egg loses in week one he should be automatically inserted back into the draw so fans are not cheated from seeing Sinneraz stomp him.

How comes he has 100 wins at two other slams, before achieving that at the AO?

The first two AO he lost in the 1st round. So, he didn't win any AO match until 2007, and that year he only won 3, because he met peak Federer in the fourth round. He didn't start really winning matches there until his first run in 2008.

AO 2005 and 2006 are the only two slams where he lost first round so far in his career.

In 2022, he was banned from Australia and as a result AO 2022, so he didn't get any wins that year, while he played both RG and W that year.

Double fault and Djokovic breaks immediately and he's been on court for longer than 12mins now so hopefully his neck is holding up!

He's coming out fast out of the blocks, this is what tennis fans all over the world were hoping for.

Lets see how it goes from here.

He has a neck problem?

Nah, A reference to a practise session being ended earlia in the week after 12mins due to a neck issue but as @Hitman pointed out, it isn't anything serious and he himself played it down and there is no sign of any issues today. He's playing completely fine, not that he's being overly tested.

Also what a point to set up another SP!

So far, so good. Novak seems pretty relaxed and sharp. Hasn't been physically challenged too much so hard to tell the fitness level yet... Pretty much cruise control...

He is timing the ball well considering it is first match in over two months.
