Seriously, what Djokovic did was crazy good!

Djokovic is an amazing tennis player Lew. We all know that. Just stop thinking people will care or like him as much as you 8-B who is talking about the AO besides Ultronians? Tennis pundits didn't even talk about his Wimbledon win when he won

Djokovic very clearly the best player since 2014 with next to 0 top opponents to challenge him. Also he lost early everywhere during 2017-mid 2018 when Fedal were top 2 which helps him avoid losses to top5.

weak era champ indeed.

Nole fans much rather he lose to Murray and Stan at Slams than to Federer and Nadal. As long as it is, him inflicting more pain to Fed and Rafa, than them to him, we're fine! Plus, Murray and Stan are not ATG's!

Nadal's lost 3 different opportunities to pull away from Djokovic in the H2H in the grand slams.
Everytime they get close to meeting at RG, Djokovic loses in an earlier round and robbing Nadal of a chance to beat him. Happened 3 times in the past 3 RGs.

In '18 RG, he just had elbow surgery, so wasn't sharp for Cechinato.

Last year, if he had won SF against Thiem, he'd to play 4 days in a row, while Nadal had to play only 2 out 5 days. Wouldn't a fair contest, as it wasn't for Thiem. Actually I was glad he lost that semi.

We can only talked about their actual matches. But since you started! 18 USO, del Porto clobbered Nadal in semis, and lost to Novak in finals. 19 Wim, Fed beat Nadal easily in semis, lost a heart breaker to Novak! Or recent AO with Thiem!

Yeah, like playing him a record 7 times at RG isn't enough.

The list shows a win over Wawrinka when he was the defending AO champion in 2015...and that list doesn't include wins of Stanimal of AO 2013 and USO 2013. It is 4-4 between them in slam H2H, Stan doesn't having a winning record against him, it is dead even.

Stan didn't get with Magnus until early 2013 and that's when the changes became evident in his mentality, winning 3 Slams.

And Djokovic was injured at the USO 2019 edition. Either you make excuses for them both, or you make none for either.

Djokovic is always injured in front of Stan. how many excuses you want to keep making for him? If you're healthy enough to step on court, you're healthy enough to play. Welcome to the pros!

2017, 2018, 2019...where was Djokovic to stop Nadal at RG?

He was beaten primarily by Thiem, who has been clearly the second best clay court player of the past few years. However people complaining that Nadal was robbed about not beating Djokovic at RG these past years, when Djokovic has played Nadal an incredible 7 times already on Nadal's best surface and best slam, when all other slams matches at the other three slams combined only comes to 8 should stop screaming about injustice.

His shoulder was injured. You just threw up an excuse to write off the Stanimal losses in 2013 to Novak, when Stan played brilliantly, yet, you are OK with saying Novak was fine at the last USO? Sorry, but that is just double standards. Novak was favoring his shoulder post Wimbledon and didn't recover until the fall.

The Stan/Djokovic rivalry didn't start until Stan got over that hurdle. Coming close but not winning. AO2014 is when he finally believed he could beat Djokovic. And since that first Slam win, it's 4-1 Stan over Djokovic in Slams. Obviously Djokovic is a far greater player. I'm not arguing that.

Because you say so? That is just your opinion. In the eyes of many, Stanimal officially arrived R4 AO 2013 and played the greatest match of the year against Djokovic, to say that wasn't a match defining moment is plain wrong IMO. So disagree with you.

Sorry, your narrative is something I don't agree with. Stanimal looked like he believed at both AO 2013 and USO 2013, to say those matches don't count, and it only counts when Stan work is disingenuous at best IMO. And yet you still somehow count a win over an injured Djokovic from last year, but don't count the 2013 wins where both were fully fit. You talk about me making excuses for Djokovic, when I am seeing nothing but excuses for Stan's losses.

Well if we don't make excuses, how can we have a debate????? :p  :-D

2017, 2018 RG, that was during the famous Djokovic slump. Elbow problem started after 16 RG. He had elbow surgery in Jan 18. The slump officially ended when he beat Nadal at 18 Wimb.

He was 9-4 after the ridiculous 15-2. So he has slowed down a lot.
A couple of losses to Nadal at rg.
A loss to alcaraz in Wimby finals
A loss to Medvedev in USO finals.

Lew in 2018 and 2019 was so consistent. Whole forum raged at him but he carried on.
