Djokovic's reality compared with the Agassi vision

A few years have gone by since Agassi and Djokovic split, and we can examine Djokovic's results in comparison with the changes Agassi wanted, but didn't get.

Djokovic has been winning Wimbledon and Melbourne, which is great, but he had already been doing those things prior to Agassi taking over.

The Agassi Vision
Agassi gave an interview to the Guardian awhile back about what went wrong between him and Djokovic. Part of it had to do with the elbow injury, which Agassi wanted fixed by surgery, but Djokovic resisted. Eventually, Djokovic had the surgery. Since, he has apparently had no elbow problems. Score one for Agassi.
Agassi wanted to change Djokovic's fitness routine by adding the Gil Reyes weightlifting program developed in Aggasi's playing days. Reyes designs his own equipment, because he believes that conventional fitness machines, basic benches and dumbbells and workout routines cause injuries. Using Reyes's equipment and knowledge, Djokovic would eat a lot more protein and add what, in the article, is called 'bulk'. In other words, Agassi wanted to make Djokovic a lot stronger, to allow him to grind opponents down the way Agassi did. Djokovic is known to dislike weight training, and refused to comply with Agassi's plan.

What's happened since? Djokovic is still getting outplayed by Nadal and others at RG, due to the lack of strength. He just runs out of gas after awhile. He's also failed to capture more USO titles after 2018. It's been business as usual, but nothing more. His age has now excluded him from many of the smaller tournaments he used to dominate, and he hasn't won the WTF since 2015.

Was Agassi's program going to produce better results than Djokovic has actually had these past few years? I think so.
