DNX 10 mid vs Power Bridge 10 mid

DNA2002

Semi-Pro
Sorry, it is old story.
But let me start from my concern.
I am using Babolat pure storm tour GT. Overall I am satisfied with it. But its actually balance is heavy a bit that I change to leather grip. But the weight raise up to 12.3(348g)oz.

Now I am finding another mid or mp less 95SQ racket. I finally found the review of Volkl Power Bridge 10 mid that is fantastic score in TW's review. But I also found that many Volkl fans love DNX10mid.

Anyway, I am struggling which one fits for me. Unfortunately, in my local shop, there are no two of them for demo.

So, now I ask you your comment. Which one is better racket do you think? what difference?

The racket that i eager to find is a little bit less than weight of BPST GT and more head light than BPST GT. Which do you recommend overall? And why?

thanks

The Powerbridge 10 mid is the DNX 10 mid except with DNX at the throat including the sides of the frame.
PB10gives more stability and control on off center shots.

The weight will be the same between the PST and the PB 10 mid

The main difference that I notice is that the DNX10 has higher swingweight than the PB10. Also it feels stiffer and does not really have the soft Volkl feel. It is a little more demanding than the PB10 but not as much as the K90 or BLX90 are.

DNA- I said it in your last post and I'll say it again here. Try using the search feature here and look for 'PB10mid' or 'DNX10'. There is a wealth of information, opinion, and speculative advice on both these frames.

For what it's worth, the PB10mid does everything the DNX10mid does, only better. The DNX does swing heavier, and is a little sluggish at net in dubs.

I've used both as my main stick and concur with this assessment. I can swing the PB10mid for 2.5-3 hours (the full time I play) with no problem. With the DNX10 mid I would start to tire after 2 hours. So yes, there is a sw difference. Also, as JRod says, the PB is more maneuverable at net as it is 10 points hl. Good luck.

I have to argee with witit. DNX10 is like combination of PS85 and K90 to me.
But it is just easier to hit with. More power and spin. With a better a look too.:)

I tested both the Völk's and because of a bit lower swingweight, I preferred the PB10 Mid.

I have 2 on their way from TW Europe, both swingweight, balance and weight matched by TW Europe (Thanks a lot Greg !!) and both were spot on, except for half a gram difference in stationary weight (I think you can call that very good quality control).

I also play with the 3 matched Babolat Pure Storm Tour GT racquets and also love that racquet model, especially on red slow euro clay.

The Völk is great on faster courts and for doubles. The Babolat is great if you play on red clay and like a bit more spin and forgiveness on groundies. Keep both if you can afford it :)

The PB10 Mid is everything the DNX10 is and then some more and it swings easier. Very good racquet. A true classic frame.

Well, I guess I'll be the minority view here - I hit with both for a week and ended up choosing the DNX10 mid. I have been using a Tour 10 VE for some time and wanted something a little stiffer in the upper hoop and with slightly more pop on serve and groundies. I think the the PB10 is a fantastic racquet but was pretty similar to the VE. Swingweight was not a concern for me - I can hit with either for extended periods and the difference to me is negligible. I've been using Volkl racquets for several years and can see how someone might think the DNX10 lacks some of the old-Volkl feel, but for me it works. BTW, this week at a club drill I got the T10VE out thinking I might have been influenced by the "honeymoon period" with the DNX10. I still prefer the DNX10 and I'm glad I went that direction.

I love the DNX10 as well. But it's my backup racquet. I can play better with the T10VE which is my main weapon. Perhaps due to a little lighter swingweight. I can generate faster racquet head speed and it does not tire me out in the 3rd (or 4th) set. I think I get heavier ball with the DNX10 but not too much. Plus as I mentioned, the DNX10 feels stiffer. The T10VE still has that soft Volkl feel.

I agree, the PB10 feels very similar to the T10VE except probably in spin department. But the tighter string pattern of the T10VE works better for me.

Anyhow, I am glad people recognize how good Volkl racquets are. Most of the players in my area have not even heard the name.

I used to play with the DNX 10 but last year as Yonex RDS 001 mid went on sale i changed to that one, which is a normal upgrade. In the beginning i had problems with serve and volleys, but there is lead and you can alter the racquet with, and after that correction the racket ,in my opinion was the best racquet an advanced player could look for.I tried the KPS 88 and but DNX 10 was far better for me,and a friend played with the Yonex RDS mid,and i had never tried that one,and as i like to volley and had played with the K90 i decided to demo. So,to my game RDS mid was a little better, but DNX 10 has an incredible feel, you can forehand drop shot,do whatever tha' heck you want.My stringer did all the lead set up for me for free, and it worked great.
I haven't hit with the PB 10,but DNX 10 i recommend if you like that one.RDS mid if you can handle,is great and better for serve and volley, but fom the base line DNX 10 is better.I'm sure you've heard this before.

I also prefer the DNX10mid. It has more plow through and a really solid/stable feel when compared to the PB10mid.
The DNX10mid is one solid player's racquet. Was very disappointed when I
tried the PB10mid. Specs looked so nice on paper. Unfortunately, no heft behind the shots.

I didn't find this to be the case at all. Even though I felt the PB10mid swung easier than the DNX10, I did not think it lacked in stability or heft whatsoever. The perceived heft might be lower (I had this problem initially with serves), but the weight of my ball is actually heavier due to the enhanced batspeed the PB10mid permits.

just wondering anyone can compare pb10 mid with ps85 here?
i am using dnx10 for single and ps85 for double. find that i got more power and spin from dnx10. but ps85 is much better in control and volley.
