Do Li Na, Petra Kvitova, Sloane Stephens have chance for AO title?

A lot of people are saying Serena is the favourite and this is true. However, remember Serena cruised to the quarterfinals and lost to Sloane Stephens. Yes Serena was injured but Sloane to her credit won the match. The media have not talked about Li Na but she seems very focused and determined. Li is the highest ranked Asian player in WTA history she is ranked third. Li also pushed Serena hard in Istanbul she was close to upsetting Serena. I feel Li Na has a chance but she has to be mentally strong. Petra Kvitova has lost weight and got a new fitness trainer but she is too inconsistent still.

Li Na made it to two finals and has remote chance to win it if she holds her head together. The other two, no way.

Li Na has a chance for sure but ONLY IF she does not have to play Serena in the SF. If Serena is out of the picture Li Na has a very good shot of winning the title.

Kvitova is out and Sloane Stephens has no shot of winning the title imo.

Nah, I don't think so. If it is a Serena vs Li Na SF, Serena will win. Li Na has a great chance of winning the title but Serena has to be knocked out first by somebody else imo.

Maybe, but the upsets have happened. Serena was a massive favourite at Wimbledon last year and lost, and she also lost to Stephens at the AO last year. I don't think Li Na can be counted out even if she has to play Serena.

Anything is possible but based on their last few encounters alone I do not feel confident that Li Na would defeat Serena if they were to meet in the SF.

I have a feeling that IF Serena is upset at this AO it won't be at the hands of Li Na, it will probably happen before that point. But, we shall see. I think the likely final will be Serena vs Azarenka.

Li Na with her head screwed on right is definitely capable of taking out Serena.

As for Kvitova, Radek probably took her to '5 sets' down under the night before.
