were sponsoring tennis players before? Seriously, when I see people wondering if fedr will be wearing their shoes I'm almost surprised. They've been doing outfits only for 6+ years, you may have just as well expected Novak to wear lacoste shoes. They never cared about the huge demand for the outfits, they simply wanted brand recognition and they are getting it. The 2017 was the only year when their logo wasn't present at least twice in GS trophy ceremony since signing Djokovic back in 2012. They are not entering any new markets with Roger. It's just part 2 of what they were doing before. Rotating the logo on the wristbands by 90 degrees and putting it on the left sleeve instead of right could be the biggest change we'll get. They may very well limit off court tennis apparel to mickey plays roger inspired shirts.

Agreed. This is not really a deal to sell tennis clothes. It's a deal to have their brand visible on the most famous tennis player so they can sell more of their main product, which happens to be clothing for non-tennis players.

But how many of the armchair players have embraced this brand?
Obviously, the company owner is interested in Tennis and he spend money for Tennis even though they don’t do many Tennis apparel business. Nothing wrong to spend money on wheelchair tennis players and especially spend money on their own country men (GOAT wheel chair tennis player SHINGO KUNIEDA).
He has more GS title than Federer ^_^

It’s much better than Kia spends tons of money to Nadal who does not even drive Kia cars and Kia does not support Korean GOAT (Chung).

I wasn't making fun of wheelchair players....sorry if it came across that way.

Mr. Humble doesn’t drive the cars he endorses? Oh, the humanity! Funny story: a friend saw Blake Griffin at a gas station filling up his Cadillac Escalade when he had his Kia deal. My friend asked him why he wasn’t in a Kia. His response: “it’s in the shop!”

On a similar note, have any of you ever seen nadal check the time on that sport watch he wears on court?, ever?
He doesn't even wear it when he's playing... oh wait.. he finally started wearing it. He used to put it on after his match.

I bet he payes for his whole team by the sponsorship of that watch alone.. its a smart move, imo..
players are starting to realize how much influence they have on the general public..

I think some players (past) have always been aware of their influence. Agassi for example. But to that extent, we live in an age where social media has become so invasive that a player can snap a selfie of him/herself wearing a certain printed t-shirt and thousands of fans will be hitting up retailers in search of it within seconds.

I'll not surprised to see Fed playing with those...
