I don't often reply to bumped threads from years ago but i feel like there is a lesson to be learned in this one. Topic about Djokovic faking an injury. Is it from the past 24 hours? This week? or from a previous year? Noone knows because it's so commonplace.

Just gonna bump my own post from 4 years ago. :-D

In pain, got treatment, is warm enough for the treatment to help, and we’ll see how he recovers if he wins this match. It’s the next match that’s the concern.
He looked to be in legitimate pain at the conclusion of the first set and throughout the second. There's no way he has an injury that would cause him any hindrance in the next round based on his excellent movement and athleticism during sets three and four today, but I do believe he was really hurting and needed treatment. Additionally, there was no tactical advantage to be gained by just standing still and letting Alcaraz beat himself during the second set.

Doesnt really Matter to me, he can take a medical time out by the rules, he took It, end of story, you still have to win the points, and hes won the points en route to 24 gs titles

Well, both McEnroe brothers noticed Djokovic couldn't deal with the loopy forehands that Carlos sent to him early on!
