He won’t be able to do the same to Nadal here.

But it does bode well for Rafa - the higher altitude and bounce allowing a lowly mug such as Ruud success last year - imagine what Nadal can do? I think Nadal should be looked at as the first or second favorite.

His indoor season this year is abysmal, 4-3. Haven't had a decent win since the US.

Fritz has too big a serve for Ruud indoors to handle + their forms suggest Ruud isn’t capable of indoor tennis atm while Fritz has an indoor 500 this year.
