Do you face the target at impact when you kick serve?

As a general rule, many teach that you have to face the target at impact as you serve.
Does this rule apply when you kick serve or not?
Some other authorities (like Fuzzy yellow ball) seem to preach that you should face a little towards your sideways when you kick serve, although the racket face must face the target at impact.

In order to hit up the inside portion of the ball, the player must have some sideways component, other wise it is physically impossible to create the proper swing path. This is the biggest problem in players learning to hit kickers and even bigger serves; they over rotate, facing the net too early, bringing their hitting elbow forward too early, and if they do, they can, at best, hit a slice serve only; most will have to flatten the racquet to the ball out to get the desired trajectory...which, of course, prohibits the optimal swing path for a kick or topspin serve.

Well, I've never checked! But I've been away for a while...not able to contribute much. Also, when I was "Tennis Mastery" I had some 1500 posts under that name...which didn't carry over...I guess I'm still a rookie!

Oh well!
