Do you fear for your favourite player if they draw Dolgopolov at the AO?

Dolgopolov just smoked Gilles Simon without much effort. It's not so much that Dolgo is a tough player, he's just a very unique player. I could see Simon was very angry at times. Dolgo's style is something completely different. He had a terrific showing at the AO last year, beating Soderling and Tsonga and causing Murray to rip his hair out over 4 sets in a very awkward encounter.

I think nobody really wants to play Dolgopolov. Especially with how he's playing right now. It will be nerve-wracking for the first top player who has to meet him in the first week. You can't really prepare for that kind of style.

Murray said last year after playing Dolgo that his rhythm was still disrupted in practice the next day and at the start of his match the day after!

Dolgo gave Djokovic some real trouble in that first set at USO. Dolgo just couldn't convert on the set points.

I fear for you (my favorite poster) drawing tushiecrushestrolls !

Nadal will smack him in straights.

I saw Dolgo play at Indian Wells last year and he and Tomic were the 2 players that stood out for me for somewhat different reasons.
The one thing they have in common is that they both know how to change the pace on their shots, both to upset the opponents rythm and to buy time. Dolgo also is one of the fastest players out there and moves side to side and forward better than almost anyone other than Joker.
Tomic has height and you can't teach that, he will be the next Murray
and might have better luck at the slams one day. Dolgo will never win a slam (crappy serve) but will take some scalps. And so it goes, the eternal 3-5 year cycle of tennis which makes it such great value. :)

That is something that can be improved he's only 23. His serve just needs consistently, and he needs to cut down on DFs sometimes. His first serve is very reliable, heavy with lots of pace. Honestly I believe it's going to improve, I expect him to break through into the Top 10 this year.

And btw, Dolgopolov suffers form Gilbert's syndrome. This can cause fatigue very often His condition gets worse when he has extensively travel, requires intravenous drug treatments and a monitored diets to get himself back on track. So yeah, I don't want to imagine how much of a ruckus he'd be if was able to stay completely healthy.

He's given every single one of the top 4 some trouble except maybe Federer who routined him in Basel (Dolgo retired at 6-4 5-3 or something like that when he slipped on his ankle to get a dropper). He took Murray to 4 in the AO, almost get a set of Djoko in the US, annoyed Nadal on clay in Madrid 2010, supposedly Nadal's peak form. Federer had some difficulty since Dolgo's serve is what mainly caused difficulty.
