Everytime I buy a new racket I feel as though I need a matching racket bag of the same brand to go with it. You you guys get this feeling?

mmm..no!:)
I'm playing with an aerogel 200 and I have a Prince O3 bag that my brother won few months ago..I off course would like to buy the aerogel bag but I don't really care very much since the Prince one was for free!

Ok... I currently use the Donnay Pro One International and there don't seem to be any Donnay bags available... thus am using my old HEAD badg.

I happily pull out fischers, volkls, dunlops, heads and whatever else out of my Dunlop bag. It's the only one I have, it's a good quality one and doesn't look like it's going to break, and I'm not going to change it for a Fischer bag without "thermo" just because I use Fischer rackets. In fact ... I'm not going to change it at all until it breaks, regardless of the racket I'm using at one particular time.

I found the perfect solution and it works perfectly for me-I bought US Open bag ;)

A while ago I felt like buying a head bag since I played with head racquets. But since I started playing with different brands I decided that I don't care. I guess it is the indoctrinating effect of watching too much tennis matches and seeing what the pro's have..... I have decided just to buy a dunlop bag (since these are better) and to carry my different sticks in it. I really think it is amazing how much effect advertisement has....

is the bag going to make you hit the the ball any different?? you wanna really mess your opponent up, show up with your stuff in a garbage bag or an old military ruck sack

I prefer no bag, 2 identical rackets, and a bottle of water. Anything else I need either fits in my pocket or is already on my racket or my body. Maybe i need to start a "no bag" club.

There is no way that I could care less. I still use my very first Prince Bag from when I was a junior (and felt SO professional). In that bag, I've carried a variety of brands.

I'll probably get a new bag this summer and will look for a bag that has the specs and appearance I like. Matching it to my racquet won't even be a consideration.

Nope. I use a white Wilson bag (Tour 5? and definitely not the latest Federer model) and I normally use Head racquets. I just happen to really like that bag.

I use a prince o3 bag, only because my old one faded though. I used a head one for ages, the next bag I get will be a sergio tachhini one. Will match my clothing :)

I just got my ST bag, and I am very pleased! It is nice and roomy and looks great too. Best of all, anal people like me don't have to worry about brand of bag matching brand of racquet anymore.

I prefer to use the same Brand Racquets and Bag.

Fortunately I've been using the same Model Racquet for over a decade now, so I only upgrade my Bag when I feel the need or want to do so.

About using garbage bags.... actually that did happen...... Once, this guy I played did turn up with his stuff in a garbage bag..... was trounced by him 6-1 6-0

lol. i would like to get a matching tecnifibre bag for my t-fights... but unfortunately i dont have enough money... and my head supercombi is working just fine right now :p i'll wait till it breaks or something :D

No, I feel more inadaquate if I have an inferior product that doesnt work for me just for the sake of having matching brands.

Case in point, I use Wilson Racquets, but I do not care for the Wilson bags, so why would I buy one? I REALLY enjoy the Babolat bags much more. (they look cooler, they have thermo in both sides, and they hold up better)

I do use Babolat String Savers though, perhaps that is good enough to feel adaquate? (at times Ive used Babolat strings as well, but not currently)

Absolutely!!!

I am a gear nut. I have to have matching stuff...Wilson racquets - Wilson bag. Nike shorts....Nike shoes and socks. It's not necessarily a disease, just a really bad addiction!

Nope, i dont feel inadequate. But i do have a matching bag and racquet.

Just so happens that the shop i string at sells Wilson bags, so i got one on discount. 1 Wilson bag, with 2 racquets - a Wilson and a Head.

I guess some pple go for bags and racquets of the same brand bcos the bags normally match the cosmetic of the racquet?? Eg. Wilson nPro Open and the Green Lime Wilson bag.

i am using 4 babolat , 1 wilson, 1 k-swiss and 1 adidas bags. with no wilson and babolat racquets...
babolat makes quality bags....

Sergio Tacchini...I like your style, Alexio. I currently have a prince bag and am playing a Volkl DNX 9. I am, however switching to the KBLADE 98 soon and I kinda want a new Black KTour wilson bag. The black bag just looks awesome lol

Not so much the brands differ as the fact it still has the penned on price tag from where I found a brand new Head bag at a thrift shop.

I'm not going to lie. I'd match my Head rac if the head bags were as good as the Wilson ones. The backpack of the Super 6 is so much better than the Combi bads that head makes. Also you can fit more things in the Super 6 bag... So until head makes a similar bag as the wilson one, I'm not going to switch!

It depends really. I got myself a Babolat bag because I only had a wilson back pack. It really was time for me to upgrade my bag. I do care if my racket and bag matches to some extent because I mean it looks kind of awkward to own a wilson racket and a babolat or say head bag.

uhhh, I've had the same bag for the past 10 years. Broke a strap off of it within the last 6 months. Some of my zippers are worn out too. My problem is that I want a new Vantage bag and just haven't made the purchase yet.

I love the Boris Becker bags, so even though I'm planning on buyin a few Aerogels, I think that's the bag I'm gonna go with.

I own a Babolat bag and wilson racquets. It's not awkward by any respect. (unless Im so vain that I think I want to show off and look like my favorite pro)

Like I said, it's more awkward to buy a bag that you dont particularly care for just for the sake of the brand name.

If there is some GUY out there who thinks I look awkward, well Im sorry, Id just have to say that I dont swing that way.... (not that there is anything wrong with that!)

The trouble is when you are younger you are more self absorbed and you like to imagine that everyone actually cares what you pull out of your bag or how how bad ass you happen to look.

When you get older some people figure out that most people are only impressed with you for about 5 minutes, and mostly they are just thinknig about themselves.

(okay so we're still self absorbed, but we can realize that everyone else is as well)

Sergio Tacchini bag here. That way, it doesn't matter what brand of racquet I'm currently using! :D

all i need my bag to have are backpack straps, and thermo, after that i just choose the best looking one within my budget, regardless of brand.

I know it would be nice to have teh same matching bag, but I don't mind at all. It would just be nice ... thats all.
