Do you play tennis or are you a non-playing fan?

When I can from spring to summer, weather permitting (UK north west)

Love playing. Great workout, fun to test my skills and practice getting better.

I loved to watch and enjoyed it greatly but since I started playing I enjoy it even more and that is because I can appreciate what I'm watching and how hard it is to do it.

Started following the sport at 8, but it wasn’t until around 13 that I began to play at least somewhat frequently. Before then I had played for maybe a dozen times.

Played rec leagues and topped out at 4.5. Wish I had started earlier and had more time to play :) too busy these days.

Thought I played at a decent level but then lost to Andrew Castle

Now I just keep adding lead tape to make myself feel like a man

Hard to answer. I kind of don't play anymore, but may be starting up again once it's summer. Depends.

Played a lot as a kid under coaching supervision to reach a decent level although my main sport was cricket which is what I primarily played in undergrad college. Played on weekends in grad school, stopped playing tennis entirely after that for about ten years and then started playing again in my early thirties. I ramped up the frequency of playing once I turned forty. Now, I’m in my early fifties and have been playing everyday for more than a decade unless I am traveling. I started taking weekly lessons again a couple of years ago and now I feel like I’m improving again which somewhat makes up for the physical decline.

The sport I used to play is one you are unfamiliar with. It required hitting the ball on a first bounce and a bit of running to get in position before that second bounce of the ball.

Watching your “activity” gives me hope I might return to the court and enjoy better results than the SD 4.0 competition level you claim to represent.

It is actually like a 7.0 level in other parts of the world

I played plenty of junior tennis, then after the 18’s I played some pro satellite tournaments. I still play now. What a great lifetime sport. Still love it.

Used to play till i bust my shoulder and then relocated.

Now just watch Rafa, Nole and The Srsh ™.
I never have shoulder issue. Was it because of serve? I always try to relax on my serving motion. I also use heavy racquet and soft string. Soft string is very important to avoid pains or injuries.
