Do you think anyone in tennis will ever again achieve Federer's 8 Grand Slams on 2 different surfaces?

No Man or Woman has ever achieved this in tennis.

Sampras - 7 on 2 different surfaces
S. Williams - 7 on 2 different surfaces
Graf - 7 on 2 different surfaces
Evert - 5 on 2 different surfaces
Djokovic - 5 on 2 different surfaces
Nadal - 5 on 2 different surfaces
Borg - 5 on 2 different surfaces
Court - 5 on 2 different surfaces

Yes, we know Nadal has won at least 2 titles on 3 different surfaces, but so did Wilander, Graf (at least 6), Evert (at least 3), S. Williams (at least 3), Navratilova.

Yeah, comparing women's tennis with men's...

I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon to be honest, that is 16 slams first of all and equal dominance needed on two different surfaces. Djokovic is the only one with any shot at this, but I think he left it a little late. I think Novak has one more Wimbledon in him, possibly stretching to two if all things go right for him, but three is going to be very difficult for him. He barely won the last two.

I agree he won't go more than 6 with Wimby, however that might be the last slam the 90s Genners take over from Big 3. He has a slight chance to win 3 as a result.

But it's far-fetched still.

If Novak wins the FO in 2020, he will be GOAT because he will be the only one among the big 3 that wins each GS major more than one.

Never say never. Some day, we will see a bomb-server(145 mph serves) with great movement and great racket skills take the game to a whole new level. Fed's 8 and 8 will be broken.

I think that Borg's 5+ on clay and that old fast grass is much more impressive, however. Those two surfaces were at the extreme end of the spectrum. And he did this just after his 25th birthday. This record will stand, since the grass has since been slowed down.

You can always find something special in the distribution if you try hard enough. Everything beyond number of career slams and/or highest number of wins at a single slam is contrived. But this example here is of a real special stupidity because for a given total number of slams the number for "2 surfaces" will most probably rise when the number for "all 3 surfaces" falls. So it's basically a negative thing!

Yes, both men’s an women’s records will be broken with another weak era like Fed had. [emoji1360]
