I am also curious about that thing at 3 o'clock! However, by the looks of the bumber, it could be a TGT312.1 (rev pro)?

The shape of the inner throat where it merges and meets the grip is different from his previous frames, so if it is a paintjob it is a new mold as well.

Pretty sure that's lead tape for those of you wondering. Curious to know why it's only on one side, but I have a feeling he knows what he's doing given that he is a pro.

Many pros seem to be happy with the Rev Pro aka TGT312.1, that must be for good reasons, no?

Most likely he has an equal amount on the other side at the same location on the hoop.

If you look at the lead on his racquet (the large grey/white strip that overextends beyond the normal lead placement spot for most people) it is only on one side, based on those photos.

Here's some notes of previous specs.

The tape at 3 o'clock looks whiter than lead, wider than 1/2 inch, and has dark spots. The dimensions seem roughly similar to an address label. I'd guess that it is something motivational, his own custom opti-spot or the stringing sticker usually on the the handle as a way to keep track of which frame is strung how.

I'm seeing strips around 10:30 / 1:30 as well which look more like tape to cover lead.


@ProStringing you wouldn't happen to know anything about the tape?

I had for some years his 231.3 microgel rad MP in 16x19 in Graphene Rad PJ, then he changed... not sure whether also to tgt 312. Somebody knows what he was using now during AO 21?

that looks to be the 1/2" Wilson red and white lead tape. i remembered using those long long long time ago... lol
(not sure why he uses them, as said before he is a Head sponsored player - maybe he is used to the size and the weight of that particular Wilson lead tape)

I still have that one from you, great frame, the best Head frame I’ve used.
