Probably an unusual thread, but many of you are knowledgeable on the pro gear etc.

I haven't hit a ball in many years and I don't follow tennis as closely as I did.

My racket of choice is the PC600. Do any of you know if any player still uses one? If not, who was the last?

As i remember it was discussed before. And the answer is "no".

Cheers. Is there a go-to racket that has taken over for the Head guys, these days?

I've hit with several rackets since the PC600 and they all felt kind of bad to me. I'm wondering if there's anything that has taken its place in this modern era.

The last guys on tour playing with PC 600 were Robin Haase (he changed to PT57 of some sort a couple years ago) and a German player called Tobias Kamke. I don't know if he still plays with PC 600

The last player using the PC600 on tour was Robin Haase. He stopped using it in 2018. Now there are a few other guys using the last Prestige Mid. The player still using the Prestige Mid is Tobias Kamke. He’s using the IG Prestige Mid which a really nice racquet. Think of it as crisper PC600. Lovely frame

Safin retired long ago. He is an official in Russian parlament. There are many such obedient former sportsmen in this fake Putin's parlament parody.

Yes, he was. But he quit in 2017.

Thanks for the information.

Is the IG Prestige Mid the youtek one? I have a youtek radical which I got dirt cheap. I've hit around with it a few times but it's like a rocket launcher. I have never hit with the prestige mid.

IG Prestige was released to "improve" the YouTek version with Innegra tech. IG Prestige feels softer than YouTek but it's not as plush as PC600, IIRC.

He quit long before, in 2009. Paris Masters.

I think he meant to say that Safin had quit politics since 2017. There's a thread somewhere around here with a pretty recent interview with Safin which indicates that he's done with politics. At least for now.

Actually all these former sportsmen are just clowns in modern Russian politics. So it doesn't matter if he on or off. The whole parlament do not decide anything. Confirm anything Putin will say.

I will maybe keep an eye out for that racket on ****, in case I decide to play tennis again. I only have one PC600 left. I also have two Wilson Pro Staff Tour 90, which seems really different from the PC600. My forehand seems to benefit with the Tour 90 but my backhand and serve particularly suffer, for some reason.

I have played with the i.Prestige which is a nice racket. I thought the flexpoint was terrible.
