wants to end up with 15 Australian Opens, assuming Rafa stays at 14 French Opens?

I bring this up because Novak has been so up front in the last year or so saying what his goals are but I don't believe he's ever gone here...and don't believe anyone has asked him about it...if he wins on Sunday someone should ask him
 
That’s exactly what he’s going for lol, but it’s not gonna happen. That’s going to be the one record he will have to swallow :D he would need three more AFTER this year just to tie and that’s not happening either.

That record is probably out of reach. Specially since Connors has more tournaments he won in Podunk towns all over the US to add to his tally of "titles" if Djokovic ever gets close to 109
 
He could MAYBE have a shot of tying it without the ban in 2022. He'd be on 12 if he wins on Sunday, but it would still be a big ask 2 more at his age. Tying it would be hard enough but breaking it was never a possibility.

If Alcaraz somehow got seriously injured, he definitely could equal rafa... he has 4 years of slam winning form left in him

he has it in him. the only external requisite conditions are:
- that there isn't more than one ATG tier opponent and
- that this ATG opponent is vulnerable to other top 10 members / injury prone

Agree, he's not even thinking of 15 AOs, his goal are as many different slams he can conquer. On the Conors' total, he definitely have it on to do list, no doubt about it. I'm not 100% sure he'll achieve 110 but he'll try hard, once he pass Roger's total...

Yea he outright said he wants the Connors record. He knows he can stick around until 39 or 40 and vulture 250s to reach it. :D Winning 5 more AOs at 36 is just a bridge too far. He's probably just really trying to focus on this one right now.

As usual, you either try to jinx (because of wanting him to do it), or you just STILL don't realize how terrible the tour is. Djokovic is definitely winning the next 5-6 AO titles with this non existent competition. Perhaps even more.
 
Those who say he has no chance to do it are people who just never learn. They still don't realize how pathetic the current tour is. There is absolutely nobody who can stop him for the next 5-6 years at least.

Btw I'm currently listening to Ryhthm Nation and OMG what an amazing album it is o_O (believe it or not I only heard it for the first time just recently, shame on me!!). Every song is pure frickin' gold. Definitely one of my favourite albums. :)

Novak has been so insanely successful beyond anyone’s imagination - except maybe Srdjan - that I won’t put any limit on how many slams or tournaments he can win.

Until it’s obvious that he’s broken down past the point of winning titles like Murray is (and he appears nowhere near that point right now), it’s just a fool’s errand.
 
Yeah, I do doubt that is a goal for him. He would be 40.5 years of age if he won every year until reaching 15 but it seems unlikely he could get a streak like that going

How many of you truly mean what you say when you claim Djokovic will win easily (the other thread by @Federev for example) vs saying that he will win as a jinx and hoping that he would lose!? I reckon 95% are out to jinx the Djoker…lol, this is actually funny.

I'm wondering if it's going to be an annual release like their NBA games.

It's totally unnecessary. Although I guess they can justify it because everyone gets new gear every year and throughout the year. And new racquets come out every year.

So they could just do a download to get the new racquets and clothes, or release a whole new game every year. I wonder which one a video game company would do? :giggle:

Anyway, I'm not a gamer, but I think I am going to pick up a PlayStation and get this when it comes out.

(Well, I did play Gran Turismo, but I don't know if you can call yourself a "gamer" if you play Gran Turismo. You're driving a car.) :giggle:

I remember the first Top Spin and I was tempted to get an Xbox to play it, but I thought, nah, I'm barely going to play it, so no.

This one I think I will play.

Even if Djokovic wins AO 2024, at AO 2025 Sinner and Alcaraz will catch him up. At AO 2026 Djokovic will retire most likely.
