Does anyone give Djokovic a chance of beating Federer at Wimbledon?

(Despite Djokovic's winning streak he didn't ever look like beating Federer in their Roland Garros clash. On grass the barrier is even greater tactically, and Federer's confidence is far greater on grass. Is there any strategic aspect of grasscourt tennis in Djokovic's favor? Anybody think Djokovic has a chance?)

Of course he has a chance,Fed almost lost to freakin Falla in the 1st round last year,we have yet to see in which form will the old man show up at Wimbledon.

(Being on a 6 set losing streak at Wimbledon, it would be an achievement if Murray took a set from Rafa, so I don't agree about the top 4 being equal statement)

I know.Roger's form varies from tournament-to-tournament these days.

Regardless of Roger's form, I give Djokovic a good chance.

When are people going to realise that even a not on form Novak reached the semis at Wimbledon before. He is a considerably stronger player now, with a better serve, movement and return. These are essential for grass.

This isn't jumping on a bandwagon, this is logic.

Yup,it wouldn't surprise me at all to see Fed play crap at Wimbledon this year after an excellent FO,the guy is old for a tennis player, not to mention that he's got quite a lot of mileage as well(his slam SF streak alone would took a lot out of anyone).People who just expect that given that Fed played great at FO this year it automatically means he would carry on that form to Wimbledon are wrong IMO,if he was 25 then yes you could draw such conclusions but today's it's anyone's guess which Fed will show up at Wimbledon.

I said this several times already but Fed was playing quite well at FO last year only to play terrible at Wimbledon after, keeping in mind that he also had more time to recover and prepare for grass given that he lost in QF to an inspired Soderling. His 1st round against Falla last year was one of the worst performance from Fed in a slam I've ever seen,it was not just a regular case of a top player getting pushed to 5 in early rounds,it was more like "Fed's a few points from a straight set beatdown at Wimbledon(!!!)" and there are still people who claim he's playing as good as ever, hilarious stuff.

Federer blew his chances at this year's FO. If he had won that 1st set, as he should have, the result may have turned out quite differently.

And there's a reason why he couldn't close out that 1st set and why he played a crappy tiebreak and why this is a repeating pattern in Fedal claycourt classics.

Hmmm something really went wrong with the draw...
i was following :
http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/news/articles/2011-06-17/201106171308308967694.html

and that said :
10:02: Murray in Djokovic's half of the draw, Roger and Rafa together Andy Murray is in the bottom half of the draw so gets a potential semi-final against Novak Djokovic. Roger Federer is in the top half - the Rafa Nadal half!

but now they edited it :
10:02: Murray in Nadal's half of the draw, Roger and Nole together Andy Murray is in the top half of the draw so gets a potential semi-final against Rafael Nadal. Roger Federer is in the bottom half - the Novak Djokovic half! A repeat of the French Open, in fact.

Really strange !
I am sure i didn't misread it because i sent the first quote to a friend of mine so i can confirm it

This really sucks for Djokovic. I feel his only hope of winning this was if Nadal beats Federer in the semis and he somehow reaches the final.

One would have to be deluded to not give Djokovic a chance. Oops, check that, the OP is known for being just that. It's not like Federer destroyed Djoker at FO, it was a very tight match, could have gone either way.

Listen, it is possible just not very likely. If Novak really dials in his serve and return game to his highest level then IMO he can beat anyone any where from any era period!

He is the only player I know of that can pull a 3,2,1 in a tournament.

Falla is just the part of this new super tough generation! 5 sets didn't surprise me at all, for me that average player Federer was the underdog

Well, Djokovic lost to Federer at the US Open in 2007, 2008, & 2009, but guess what happened in 2010? So past performance does not guarantee future results. :)
