Does anyone have a feeling this will be the last major for Novak?

If Roger and Rafa ever came back competitively, no. If they don’t, Djoko is done as well, no more motivation.

if he stays healthy for 2 more years he is favourite at wimbledon and oneof the favourites at the other slams. so 1 slam in the next 2 years he will very likely win.

I think it’s 21 today or 20 forever..

just a feeling
He will likely finish over or closer to 30 slams. I'm not being facetious.
The Next Gen are useless. So unless you have Alcaraz or some other new star, Novak has easy pickings for 3-4 years.

Novak will NOT decline physically. He is the STRONGEST 34 yr old EVER seen in Tennis. He it OUTLASTING guys 10-15 years younger than him with EASE.
Novak at 38 might still be fitter than the Next gen right now.

I don’t like anything you have said there…But 90% of it is correct….

No one will like it. Most people like newer champions, faces and excitement.
However, realistically speaking why will Novak retire? He's still beating the next gen WITH ease. I mean he doesn't even to play any non slams.
He comes without hard court prep and wins UsOpen and CYGS. He beats next gen after being 2 sets to 0 down.
Novak will play as long as he can win slams. And right now there is NO DECLINE. He is even more dominant than his younger years.

My own belief is she will catch him…That could be 6 months away but it also could be another few years as you say…Impossible to predict…I’ve lost all belief in Z, Tsitsipas and Danil over last few months…Nole thrashed Med only 7 months ago in a slam final…

It will be interesting to see how he motivates himself to keep going if he wins it. We know he wants that Olympic Gold, but best of three at Roland Garros three years down the line doesn't sound like something with a high enough chance of a return to keep going at top level for that long. We saw how totally he fell off in 2016 when he had that final accomplishment he'd been after so long. I know there were other reasons that contributed, but that was one of them. That said, if Nadal comes back and plays at a level that suggests he might have something left in the tank then that will surely be enough to motivate him.

I agree. But hoping on Aging is NOT a strategy. The natural law of the Universe is that the young devour the old. However in Tennis, the conventional wisdom has been turned on its head.
Younger players ALWAYS beat the older players and send them to their retirement. No champion will just fade away unless they lose regularly. It happened with all greats: Borg, Lendl, JMac, Sampras, Fed and even Nadal.

Novak will continue to play and dominate unless there is a Next gen player who beats him MULTIPLE times and sends him to his retirement. Right now, I don't see Med/Zed as those players.
Maybe Titspas in the future? Or Alcaraz after 2-3 years? Or perhaps Thiem will come back on fire? Regardless, Novak will continue unless someone knocks him down, that I can guarantee you. And right now there is no one.

He will attempt to compete at the AO 2022, but the likes of Alexander "Sascha" Zverev, Stefanos "Stef" Tsitsipas, and Matteo "The Hammer" Berrettini will be awaiting him.

It's unlikely that the veteran Serb will be able to see off these young guns.

According to Srdjan Djokovic who never makes false predictions, Novak is going after Margaret's record of 24 slams.
