Does anyone own a wilson clash v1 108 and a v2 108 and uses a 2 hand backhand?

I use both these rackets but i struggle to hit the 2 hand backhand on the v2 and i cant figure out why

On my v1's both the 100 pro and 108 i have no issue but on the v2 i struggle to hit ut in the sweetspot ever always frame it or off centre

Is it possible because mine has tiny bit of silicone injected into the handle behind the nails from the factory is causing this so throwing the balance and weight off or is it the weight distribution of the racket?

I hit the forehand great with both v1 and v2 as i originally assumed it was the factory strings was the issue but i changed them and still same problem: all mishits and no power.

I came from a 1 hand backhand so my 2 hander is not very good but again i am puzzled why i can hit the v1's fine but the v2 has problems could mine be a dud racket due to the silicone?

Do you know the specs of your rackets? Not the printed specs. But actual. Do they have the same string setup? You can start by putting both on a scale to see what they weigh.

Stop obsessing over the silicone in the handle. I would guess the flex and swingweight are what are causing the difference between the 108s. The 100 pro is closer to V2 108 in swingweight but the flex is still a lot lower at 55.

Yeah although i didnt weigh them when i got them.

I use the exact same set up on both:

2 undergrips 2 over grips to make it more HL. 6 rubber bands in the butt cap.

Shock trap dampener. Wilson finishing ring on both.

Head rip control 16 strings 49lbs

Is the weight just distributed differently in the v2?

I know its stiffness is 63 and it has 10g more swing weight vs the v1

I am just perplexed why i cant hit the 2 hand backhand with it i dont mind having to make micro adjustments position wise just i cant figure it out i just hit the frame or off centre

Right so in the v2 how do i fix this issue position wise?

It won't bring them closer to each other but try removing the rubber bands from V2 see if it's easier for your backhand.

Then put the rubber bands where you tape the over grip and see if that's any better

I need the rubber bands in the buttcap because it absorbs some of the vibration the v2 108 is awful for comfort not a real clash

Can really feel the shock at 63RA

But it performs well forehand wise

I need to figure out how and why i cant hit the 2 handback habd easily with this

Are you mis hitting it ? Or does the racket seem to torque out more ? What exactly are you feeling and what exactly is happening to the shot once the ball has left the strings ?

I actually sorted it out by adding weight in places on the racket

The extra customisation seemed to change the balance and weight distribution a bit to suit me better not sure why but it worked

Prior to the customisation i was eother hitting it too high or too low on the frame but not the hoop too high i mean the sides ie i either as mishitting cos i was swinging too low or high but couldn't correct it but then i added weight and it is all fixed now

It helps i started playing more with just the 100 so when i went back to the 108 v2 it was even easier to hit the sweet spot as i wss calibrated for a smaller head
