Does fit Thiem have the strongest FH and BH combined together on the tour?!

Seriously, is there anyone more balanced off both wings than Domi?!
When on song, he can outpower any player by hitting clean winners left and right.
He kind of reminds me of Peak Stan who had great FH and BH as well. And coincidently these two players were the guys who troubled Novak on Hard more than Fedal since RG2016.

I do not believe either of two guys would win more than a set against 2011 monsterovic, leave aside holding 2 matches points on serve against him.

that's right.......he has the biggest forehand and backhand on the tour currently........
If we're talking about raw potential to hit bigger than thiem, zverev surely can do it. He has more core brut strength than thiem, and he can comparatively spend less energy in hitting as big, or even bigger than the Austrian.

Yeah it's probably Thiem. I think he hits his FH consistently harder than Zverev. Sinner is also a pretty good mention, tbh. He might genuinely hit with more average pace than Thiem.

Carlos Alcaraz will soon claim this from Thiem I hope ;)

zverev blows a bit too hot and cold for my liking.......thiem is more consistently brutal and if his bh dtl is on, no one can withstand that barrage especially on clay and slow hardcourts.......

Nope, I disagree. Novak has always been generous at slams even in his title winning runs. He used to donate some sets to the poor out of generosity:p

Absolutely. Again: The only ball Thiem's BH can't handle on long matches is Rafa's FH and for obvious reasons. I'm looking forward to another match between them on clay next year, preferably with both of them in decent form. Maybe a Rome final or something.

But if Thiem is in good shape he's a strong contender against absolutely anyone. He just desperately needs to overcome some aspects of his mental game.

Certainly. He had everything. Monster forehand, backhand, a huge kick serve and a wicked slice. The only thing missing was the net game.

It doesn't really matter, we will probably never see that Thiem again. He might be injured, but his real problem now is mental.

I’ve seen only Wawrinka and Thiem frustrate Djokovic in good form by out-hitting him. Many of Djokovic’s losses to them are because he amps up his own pace and his error-rate goes up which makes him angry and then it is all downhill after that. Djokovic hates it when opponents can outhit him on the BH wing and only these two could consistently do it well. Zverev has been doing it this year on the BH wing at the USO, Olympics and AO - but he lost the two Slam matches because he couldn’t keep up his level of serving enough to win three sets.

Backhand, in multiple tournaments the mph and rpm has gone to Shapovalov (based off of hawkeye info). The shots he hits for a one hander are ridiculous. Definitely more error prone than Stan, but honestly just as effective offensively (defense, definitely not).
