Why does a legend like Roger deserve to retire, sir?? He has a great run left in him.It is what it is. Does Federer deserve to retire? Yes and yes.
Does Fed deserve his No.5 position since he has earned only 720 points this year?...since he earned less points than Thiem in 2020?
The answer for both questions is no.Does Fed deserves his No.5 position since he has earned only 720 points this year?
If he retired before March 2021, he would at least be able to say he retired with the most week at No 1!It is what it is. Does Federer deserve to retire? Yes and yes.
The only reason for that is because Nadal skipped Cincinnati and the USO where he would have most likely won more than 600 pts combined. Both Nadal and Thiem would deserve the no.2 spot, there's nothing wrong with either choice.![]()
anyway, he doesn't even deserve to be ranked.
damn Roger 29, imagine Roger vs Novak or Rafa round 3 at AO![]()
anyway, he doesn't even deserve to be ranked.
You wouldn't say the same if Novak was in Rafas place and got the record for top 2 finishesThe only reason for that is because Nadal skipped Cincinnati and the USO where he would have most likely won more than 600 pts combined. Both Nadal and Thiem would deserve the no.2 spot, there's nothing wrong with either choice.
He's done enough for the sport so his retirement is well-deserved if he chooses to do so.Why does a legend like Roger deserve to retire, sir?? He has a great run left in him.
Do you think Nadal skips USO if it wasn't for covid lol?![]()
anyway, he doesn't even deserve to be ranked.
Same with N0-vax. Listen to the fans, they want new blood. He should retire immediately for the good of the sportHe's done enough for the sport so his retirement is well-deserved if he chooses to do so.
Oh boy, I like it so much when someone shows his bias so transparently, when opinion is based solely on the current circumstances with no underlaying principle of any sort. Just imagine this guy's perception if Novak was in Rafa's place, and Rafa was in Thiem's place. The only reason for that is because Nadal skipped Cincinnati and the USO where he would have most likely won more than 600 pts combined. Both Nadal and Thiem would deserve the no.2 spot, there's nothing wrong with either choice.
I love the fact you have a whoopie cushion for a brain and still manage to live a half functional life....Does Fed deserve his No.5 position since he has earned only 720 points this year?
Yeah kind of feels like they have both being second best player in the world this year.....The only reason for that is because Nadal skipped Cincinnati and the USO where he would have most likely won more than 600 pts combined. Both Nadal and Thiem would deserve the no.2 spot, there's nothing wrong with either choice.
Interesting stuff!
If schedule of 2020 remained the same, for whatever non-viral reason, he'd still skip USO. You know it's true.Do you think Nadal skips USO if it wasn't for covid lol?
Nice saveHe's done enough for the sport so his retirement is well-deserved if he chooses to do so.
Yes I would be extremely happy for Novak, a great guy.You wouldn't say the same if Novak was in Rafas place and got the record for top 2 finishes
Nadal devotee, aren't you the first one to complain when someone brings Roger or Novak into a thread about Nadal?Does Fed deserve his No.5 position since he has earned only 720 points this year?
which he might not have done if the points were dropped, but ATP announced rule change, and Nadal made a wise choice. The only reason for that is because Nadal skipped Cincinnati and the USO where he would have most likely won more than 600 pts combined. Both Nadal and Thiem would deserve the no.2 spot, there's nothing wrong with either choice.
Nah, don't think so. He'd play both "Cincy" and USO. If anything, because he would badly need the practice. If schedule of 2020 remained the same, for whatever non-viral reason, he'd still skip USO. You know it's true.
I mean, in the last 6 slams since RG 2019, Thiem has had the same amount of major finals as Nadal and Djokovic (3 apiece). He'd be a deserving #2. As things stand, he's a strong #3.Rankings should reflect how good someone is. No point in putting Federer at 29 to let him meet Nadal/Djokovic in the 3rd round of a slam lol. Or putting Thiem at 2 so that the real slam final might take place before the actual final (like RG2013).
Current ranking seems fine.
Yes #2 is an apt description
Nadal won 3 of them, Djokovic 2 and Thiem 1?I mean, in the last 6 slams since RG 2019, Thiem has had the same amount of major finals as Nadal and Djokovic (3 apiece). He'd be a deserving #2. As things stand, he's a strong #3.
You are wrong. Fed was brought into the thread in post #2.Nadal devotee, aren't you the first one to complain when someone brings Roger or Novak into a thread about Nadal?
Why are you bringing Roger now into a thread about Rafa?
post #2 is irrelevant for what I am saying. You are wrong. Fed was brought into the thread in post #2.
Wow, that's almost a compliment. He's done enough for the sport so his retirement is well-deserved if he chooses to do so.
Yes just retire as an ATG gracefully.Wow, that's almost a compliment.
Who's Federer? I've only heard of Cow.It is what it is. Does Federer deserve to retire? Yes and yes.
there is a strong correlation between the chance of winning the GS and ranking.who really cares? thiem can have that no.2 spot, i am ok to give it to him.........all nadal and his fans care about is grandslam victories at this point.........
I wonder why you pretend not to notice the title of the thread & OP.I love the fact you have a whoopie cushion for a brain and still manage to live a half functional life....
i am ok with any draw for nadal........there is a strong correlation between the chance of winning the GS and ranking.
if you are #3, or #4, you will almost guaranteed have to defeat Novak and then Rafa.
If you are #2, there is a chance that Novak and Rafa will play one SF, tire each-out, and then you have to defeat only 1 of them.
that's why there was so much fuzz about Fed's Wimbledon seeding from Rafa and Novak, when they realized that Rafa and Novak might get to play the SF, perhaps another 5 setter, and then proceed to play vs Fed.
or take RG 2019, if instead of Thiem, Rafa would have played 5 sets with Novak, who knows how that final would end.
I dont. i find the subject debatable, and i actually think Nadal is fully deserving of his current ranking, given that the rules put in place award him that!I wonder why you pretend not to notice the title of the thread & OP.![]()
Your comment applies to yourself: "feel the moronic need to flail like a bumbling imbecile in defense of Fed and the pathological need to engage in brainless whataboutism!" [Slightly edited between quotation marks.]I dont. i find the subject debatable, and i actually think Nadal is fully deserving of his current ranking, given that the rules put in place award him that!
however. unlike you, i dont feel the moronic need to flail like a bumbling imbecile in defense of any given player, and even less the pathological need to engage in brainless whataboutism!
