Does new Pure Aero 2026 mean new Pure Aero Rafa Origin?

Babolat are supposedly releasing a new Pure Aero line in early 2026.

Word on the grapevine is that these Pure Aeros are much softer than the previous generation.

A common complaint with the Pure Aero Rafa Origin was that the stiffness, 70+ RA, is way higher than Nadal's actual spec (65 RA). Can we then hope that with the new Pure Aero line that a softer, more accurate, Rafa Origin will be released?

Hes not playing so I'd say that's probably fairly unlikely but who knows

Yeah I'm not sure either, especially given how niche the community was for the Pure Aero Rafa Origin - an extremely demanding racket, so not sure how it performed sales-wise.

It was made stiffer, I think, bc they weren't going to release a racquet with his actual swing weight, which was very high. So you have to compensate somewhere else.

I believe the swingweight is actually the same as his - 370sw once strung.

It sold out everywhere. Not sure how much volume was put in stores or how that maps to financial success for babolat but I’m keeping mine.

If the new pure aero is even softer than the last version than that may be a pass for me. It lost a lot of punch already.

i can see an argument for an Aero Origin line for both the 98 and 100 for 2026 onwards

ideally a more reserved pj... something akin to Rafa's Cage 3 French Open special shoes that gave us a small piece of each of his championship winning shoes would be sick
That logo… is this Mr.TennCom himself?

Agreed, I would love a reserved paintjob similar to the mostly-black/bit-of-orange scheme when Nadal was testing different prototypes.

Any hints of the idea you put forth being true? I’m about to get a 2023 Origin but would hate for a brand new 2026 version to come out only a month later aha.

I’m just hoping the line doesn’t get the RF97 treatment.

Nadal's actual strung RA was only 65? Are you sure, I mean, how do you know? Probably posted somewhere on this forum or measured somewhere or? APD v1 was super stiff, very uncomfortable to hit a flat ball with it, practically forces you to swing upwards and brush

Nadal's personal Aeros at the store that sells ProStocks were all 70ish RA - so yeah Nadal wasn't using a 65 RA Aero

i have nothing to hint at or leak… i doubt any Origin projects are in the works and i don’t have any special insider info.

Bab just has two champion who are synonymous with the racquets they use so i think they could feasibly do origins of both Aeros.

Yeah I like that idea.

I'm surprised they haven't done any Spanish-themed paintjobs considering the nationality of both champions.

A mostly red with flashes of yellow paintjob could standout nicely!

They should re release on a limited scale the original apd and charge 600 bucks for it, feel like they would make some money on that!

Watch the recent TW podcast on the aero that has the rep from babolat on it. He says they have plans for a new rafa.

The original sold out everywhere is on the bay for high prices.
