Does playing on omni court put less wear on the shoe?

I just bought a pair of pricy Nike Vapor Speed 2. Having heard about the durability sole issue here, I want to preserve the shoes as long as possible.

I can play on my own hard court or my friend's omni/synthetic grass court.

My friend always joke about how little wear on the shoe by playing on his omni court, making him feel almost guilty to buy new shoes before the old pair wear out completely

Therefore, I wonder if I should wear the Vapor only on omni when it's new, and keep wearing my trusty Resolve on hard court.

If both court wear shoe to same extent, I'll opt for the vapor on hard court, since I still prefer playing on hard court than omni

Synthetic grass is definately easier on your soles. However, with the sliding you might wear through the uppers quicker.

Depends on the court. I don't know if synthetic grass is the same wehere you live as it is here, but a few in my neigborhood are really ok. Now French Court.. that SHOULD be banned.

It's a gravel replacement, which should give you all the benefits of clay and synthetic grass. However, every court of this type which I've played on was horribly unpredictable as to bounce and to sliding properties. The water management stinks as well (at my club all claycourts were playable last week, and the two french-courts were full of puddles).
