Does Raonic have gut on the crosses in Toronto?

Looks the same as always to me...

2013 Rogers Cup

2016 Rogers Cup

At some angles mains or crosses may catch more light

Stringers at the Rogers Cup definitely did a bunch of his frames with gut crosses (I spoke to them personally) but potentially he used those only for practice?
I saw his night match with Monfils but too far away to get any idea about what his strings were.

I strung every one of his frames from the Friday before the event all the way through the event. He only used his usual M2. Also, none of the racquets I got from him had any gut in them when I cut them out. I have a feeling the onsite guys were giving you bad info because if he had been using gut, I at least would have seen them when cutting out strings.

That's amazing. I love this site for posts like this!
I will make sure to give my buddies a hard time for not knowing the difference between natural gut and poly! :D And I pay these guys to string my racquets..........

Just speculating, but it is possible that Raonic had a hitting partner that they strung for and it was put on his tab.

Totally agree with Hnefi, the posts of people with actual involvement is what elevates this message board above what photo detectives like myself could dream of.
