Does Robredo have the "record" for most Grand Slam match wins without ever reaching a Grand Slam final?

Well, apparently he does.

Incidentally, haven't heard from him for ages. When did he last play a main ATP match?

How many does Monfils have? Simon? Henman?

My guess would have been Gasquet.

I think he may have de facto retired at the end of 2019. He played one tour match in 2019 and a bunch of challengers and qualifiers. Hasn’t played in 2020.

And the Sauce was two games away from the final. Could have made it if he didn't have the peakiest version of Nadal across the net.

Even with that version of Nadal across the net, he could have made it had he held his nerve a bit better in the key moments.

(Also that really does show that Nadal isn't at his best in Australia - he's played better at the US Open - 2010 and 2013 - than he did at the 2009 Australian Open, his best showing there. And Wimbledon 2008 was better, too. Probably not Wimbledon 2010 or 2007 - or US Open 2017 or 2019)..

Had Berdych not had his one Wimby final he’d be the absolute king of this category - 146. Ferrer similarly impressive at 145.
