Does The Inner Game of Tennis and Winning Ugly clash?

The Inner Game of Tennis, I have not finished reading, but from what I understand is about trusting the intuition of the physical player while having the mental player trust that intuition.

Winning Ugly, however, has an emphasis on being analytical on the court.

Will these books clash in terms of ideal play?

I bring a lot of both of those books with me, some Sun Tsu, of course, and a couple of other war sayings like "Trust your Generals"(Tactics), and "When in doubt - win the war".

Most sayings are cryptic and open for any kind of interpretation. They work for some instances but fail for others.
