Does the lack of Djokovic and Murray show how spoiled tennis fans have gotten

So much complaining from fans on how low expectation this tennis season for the men has been. Fans cry so much, last year they were complaining about Djokovic domination. Murray being the most boring #1 player in the world. Then they cry and yearn for Fedal.

Once they have Fedal again, then they cry about how bad men's tennis is without Murray and Djokovic.

Tennis fans have become very spoiled their absence proves why Djokovic and Murray are so important to the men's game. They keep men's tennis competitive and they challenge Nadal and Federer.

Next time if a fan sees them play tennis, there should more appreciation to these understated grandslam champions.

Delusional or drug-induced hallucination. There are some who miss Djoker or 14 who miss Murray. There is absolutely nobody on the face of the earth who misses a Murray-Novak final. NOBODY!

I miss Djokovic's presence in a certain way. Not the least of which was keeping Nadal in check. Never saw this season coming, though.

In Djokovic's case (as I was saying to someone else) I feel like his sabbatical/departure/whatever-you-wish-to-label-it was mainly an instance of him realizing that he'd met his objectives, and his passion waning accordingly. All power to him, if he wants to put his energies toward something else.

Wish the guy well. Good example for healthy living, and a good tennis model. Hope that Fed can get back on top in that H2H, though. ;)

Djokovic was actually more threatening to Federer then Djokovic ever was to Nadal.

Djokovic actually beat Federer twice on his best surface in grass.

Djokovice never beat Nadal in RG on grandslam final.

All four are important to the game but it wouldn't be such a huge problem if other players were stepping up in Murray and Djokovic's absence. When you have other top players on the sidelines with them and the ones that are left have no consistent high quality play to challenge the elite, it becomes stale very fast. You could definitely feel their absence this tournament and I didn't think it would be as significant as it turned out to be. They offer a different dynamic and keep the competition at a high level so yes they are needed. Also, I'll be honest and say that although I've never been crazy about matches between the two, they get pretty damn good ratings. Their Wimbledon final is the highest rated ever and their 2016 AO match was the highest rated men's match on Eurosport ever until the 2017 AO final. Also, their 2016 RG got pretty good ratings. So the notion that people don't watch them is false.

Nadal is definitely one of the best and unbeatable by Djokovice but Federer is still the best.
