Does this grommet need replacing and is dangerous for the frame?

I just noticed that some of the grommets on my racket are literally smashed from the knots? Is it dangerous for the frame itself and do I need to replace those

is any part of the string touching the frame? is the grommet split or broken off? tough to tell because of the tie offs and blurry picture

Just replace with FITTEX tubes or scrap tubes. I would ask your stringer or do a closer examination upon restringing. What will happen is premature string breakage.

The knot touches the frame directly

Non perfectionists rule of thumb - if it is the edge of the KNOT that is touching the frame = Pretty OK, probably will not lead to premature breakage.

IF the string itself (not knot) is touching the edge of the hole in the frame, it will break and that fairly soon.

If it is not a tie off hole, tubing will help. Better to just get a fresh set of grommets.
