Does utr weight ITA circuit differently?

I probably already know the answer to this but my daughter played an Ita recently, had two losses to people over 1/2 pt lower and a win against someone about her level and her utr dropped almost .20 points.
similar results have been posted in the past in other kinds of tournaments (usta, utr for example) and never had anything like this happen - yes it’s gone up or down but not to this extent.
in fact other players/parents said they have noticed the same things after Ita circuit results were entered last summer and during the fall.
Maybe it’s just a coincidence- but I’m curious because it sort of seems more than just a one off.

I’m sure the ITA is not weighed differently. Based on my observation, I don’t find the drop that you mention odd.

Since your daughter is starting college, for your own sanity, stop following UTR. The D3 college UTRs make no sense, They are meaningless in college, so relax and ignore!

Ok while we’re on the subject of ita’s what do you all think about wildcards being given? I don’t recall
that ever being a thing but this year several places are issuing wildcards “at the tournament directors’ discretion.”
To me that seems like a recipe for favoritism. I get moving an unrated player or even a player with a provisional rating into a particular draw, especially since some people played more than others this past year because of covid, but some of these tournament directors are moving players who play for their schools into a higher draw at the expense of higher rated players being put in a lower draw.
