I think that the Australian Open should be played after the hardcourt masters. The Indian Wells and Miami tournaments should be leadups to the Australian, just like the clay court season and the US open series. I don't really understand the logic of playing the Australian before

This would take alot of organization and changes, the tournaments would have to be moved up earlier to make room for Australian, but in the end, i think this will make more sense.

Australia is pretty far from US... and their court is a little different and their weather a little different.. so no it is fine the way it is..

It depends on what time of the year you want the AO moved to. Originally years ago it was held in December at the end of the season so hence very few top players made the long journey to Australia unless it was tight in respects to end of year points.

To alleviate this problem it was moved to January and because of this it now has the same respect as the other slams.
