Yep, sure is. (You'd best get back on the bus now...)
I think PJ is much more prettier than the original version. unstrung wt of 317 G seem really heavy to me. is it like Federer racket, very demanding to use ?![]()

Somebody to explain me why Thiem put more tension in crosses (23,5/25) while it's a rigid poly (hawk). What can he get doing this instead of -1 or -2 in crosses (or same tension as main)?
Do you think this hybrid is a little like a Head Gravity ?
Thanks, and sorry for my english
I also think that but it's 25 in crossesHi tension is 25/23.5kg; so 1.5kg less in the crosses. This will allow more main string movement and aid spin production vs having the same tensio on both mains and crosses.
head hawk 1.25 in crosses (25kg),head experimental string 1.30 in mains (23,5kg),i ask the stringer in monte carlo, the experimental string is a polyester rough

No, its 25kg mains, 23.5kg crosses. I was there at Roland Garros. I was also in Madrid where he had same set up/tension; and I also have access to the Thiem's stringing record from Roland GarrosI also think that but it's 25 in crosses
Sorry for the OT, do you know also the strings setup of Tomic and Davidovich Fokina at Roland Garros or Madrid? No, its 25kg mains, 23.5kg crosses. I was there at Roland Garros. I was also in Madrid where he had same set up/tension; and I also have access to the Thiem's stringing record from Roland Garros
I am confused. are they selling Thiem's strings yet or not ?No, its 25kg mains, 23.5kg crosses. I was there at Roland Garros. I was also in Madrid where he had same set up/tension; and I also have access to the Thiem's stringing record from Roland Garros
based on your comment in your thread you do like this one, no? And it is the Grey fire correct?Never broke the same main in two places before. The legend of Jolly.

Yes.based on your comment in your thread you do like this one, no? And it is the Grey fire correct?
Based on your Poly thread I know you like Lux. ALu and BBO. Where does Grey Fire rank compared to them?Yes.
Yes.

Who makes gray fire ? and is it already being sold at TW ?The grey fire is the main string of thiem with hawk in crosses or no. I don't understand why the grey fire is here
isospeed. yes.Who makes gray fire ? and is it already being sold at TW ?
I think so.The grey fire is the main string of thiem with hawk in crosses or no. I don't understand why the grey fire is here
But thiem's main string is champagne not grey ?! And grey fire isn't a new stringI think so.
It may not be that grey after all... look at Jolly's pic above. he's got grey fire in his racket...But thiem's main string is champagne not grey ?! And grey fire isn't a new string
is this their BEST flagship string ?
It's not as good. It's like a softer adrenaline.Based on your Poly thread I know you like Lux. ALu and BBO. Where does Grey Fire rank compared to them?
It was too embarrassing for Babolat, that Thiem was using HEAD strings the last couple of months. So the French tried everything to please him again stringwise and get him back. Let's see if he is really satisfied.Thiem using black strings again in Hamburg
This is a good pic of the string. More pics on previous pages of this thread. Working titel at HEAD is Experimental. It is not manufactured by Isopeed. It will be launched next month. It has 6 edges. As an Austrian tennis player I have now tested the "Thiem combination": Experimental main (1.30) and the Hawk 3 cross (1.25). The Tension i used was: Expermiental 23,5kg and Hawk 3 (25kg)
I think there is a lot of power/ spin out and you need less effort!
At the serve, I felt the most difference. The Serves are certainly 10-15km / h faster. To the basic/ground strokes can be said that an enormous power comes out, provided you hit the ball clean.
The touch is really good too. Probably even better with 1.25 experinental.
The durability: I played through 1.5h and held well. Otherwise, the average durability is between 30-45min due to the enormous spin. Therefore, the durability with the combination is really top.
In summary, the combination is really great. Enormous power / spin and a good feeling of touch with a good durability.
Huge Shoutout to HEAD for this awesome String!

Thank you for the info. This is a good pic of the string. More pics on previous pages of this thread. Working titel at HEAD is Experimental. It is not manufactured by Isopeed. It will be launched next month. It has 6 edges.
why did he switch at all from Head to Babolat? It was too embarrassing for Babolat, that Thiem was using HEAD strings the last couple of months. So the French tried everything to please him again stringwise and get him back. Let's see if he is really satisfied.![]()
Presumably the same reason Roger switched from Nike to Uniqlo?why did he switch at all from Head to Babolat?
Because years ago he bought an original strike 18x20 in the shop, tried it and prefered it over his own -pro stock- Head racquets. He considered the Babolat strike that good appearantly.why did he switch at all from Head to Babolat?
So how did you get this special experimental string? Are you sponsored by the same company as Thiem? This is a good pic of the string. More pics on previous pages of this thread. Working titel at HEAD is Experimental. It is not manufactured by Isopeed. It will be launched next month. It has 6 edges.
Hawk 3 is a HEAD internal name and is Hawk in the market. HAWK 1 is a proplayer version of Hawk 3, just a bit softer but still stiff.Thank you for the info.
Hawk 3 is indeed hawk touch as has been mentioned before on this thread?
Long story. It was back then when he was still remote controlled by his former coach.why did he switch at all from Head to Babolat?
There are already some using it, but as long as it is not officially launched, HEAD is not promoting it.Are any of the actual Head pros using this superior champagne-coloured string?

Sure, that's exactly how it was. Bullsh..!Because years ago he bought an original strike 18x20 in the shop, tried it and prefered it over his own -pro stock- Head racquets. He considered the Babolat strike that good appearantly.
The guy who posted the pic is sponsored by HEAD and playtesting for them.So how did you get this special experimental string? Are you sponsored by the same company as Thiem?
Ok thanks again.Hawk 3 is HEAD internal and is Hawk in the market. HAWK 1 Is Hawk Touch.
Not as stiff as Hawk and Hawk Touch. Exp. is comparable with Hyper G.Ok thanks again.
I have a last question for you or whoever knows..
Is the experimental stiffer than hawk or hawk touch?
need to try it then....Not as stiff as Hawk and Hawk Touch. Exp. is comparable with Hyper G.
Possible. Fritz is a HEAD player and maybe Rublev will be soon.It appears fritz is using it in the finals in Atlanta?...and Rublev in the finals in Hamburg?
I’ve got to get a hold of this string.
