As a person trying to build muscle, often I experience Delayed onset muscle soreness quite badly in the two days following training regardless of the body area. I often try to intersperse Cardio sessions with weight sessions, but have always wondered what effect this would have on muscle growth/recovery.
For example, After doing a legs session on monday, I am always sore on tuesday, but does that prohobit me from doing an hour of cardio, Say cycling for an hour with resistance. While this would increase bloodflow, it would clearly continue to break down tissue, thus would it be overtraining.
What is the best form of cardio to do the next day after a legs session, if any?
And is this recommended?
As I eat the same on activity/non activity days, I always feel like I may gain fat If I don't do cardio.
