Despite his underachieving, I have a soft spot for the guy. I like his game when he's being aggressive. Fun to watch. I really hope he does well.

I think his time is now. He's not going to be a slam-winning superstar. On, the other hand, he could have very easily gone away after his mega-slump and been added to the long list of hyped players who not only didn't meet initial expectations, but hardly did anything at all.

He's a solid tour professional now. Top 40-80, no qualifying for slams, the occasional chance at smaller tournaments, making enough money to do it. If he can keep this up for even just three years, I'd consider his career a success. I just want him to win a tournament in his career, even if just a 250.

Everytime I see him I remember him shouting out "Son of a biscuit" and then getting a warning for abusive language.

Donald will do better than Spadea I believe. He may have a Chela type career in the end.

Haha wow! I did not know that happened but I looked up the video:

"You son of a biscuit man! Biscuit man! Biscuit!"

"I said biscuit... come on G, don't give me crap for that man"

Maybe it's just because they are both lefties, but I have always thought of Young as a poor man's Verdasco.. lacking real weapons.

He should be inducted into the Hall of Fame for that one.

He is listed as 6 feet. Is that an exaggeration? Maybe he looks shorter because he is more muscular than most players.

I stood next to him at the Citi Open last summer. I am 6 feet tall and my eyes were able to look over his head. So, yes his listed height is an exaggeration.

hard to believe, one and only meeting until now was seven years ago at Indian Wells.... 1 & 3 for Nadal..this should be better...one of the announcers recently said that his game is stylistically similar to Nadal and I agree

I am sure his time to become the new Alexandra Stevenson will come. That will be his future in 5 or 6 years time. His time to be as good as he will ever get has already come, and he has another year or two left there probably.

Funny, although he said, "come on Keith", the name of the umpire, not "G".

Funny, people on this board have been predicting Young's demise for a while now.
