Donnay grommets for X-Dual Pro

Will the grommets for the current Donnay Pro One 97 18x20 work in the older Donnay X-Dual Pro? Some posts here have indicated that the Pro One 97 18x20 is simply a new cosmetic for the prior X-Dual Pro, but I'm hoping someone can provide feedback from actual experience (positive or negative) trying the newer grommets with the older frame.
