Donnay XP Dual 102's with different specs

AR15

Professional
I have 2 Donnay XP Dual 102's.

One is a 4 1/8" grip with a 10.4 oz weight (unstrung) and 320mm balance.

One is a 4 3/8" grip with 10.6 oz weight and 315mm balance.

Both have the above specifications printed on the racquets.

Question: Is the different weights and balances due to the different grip sizes?

I haven't played with the 4 3/8 yet, so I can't compare.

I'm just trying to figure out why these two racquets have different specs.

Quality control. The differences will occur in the production process. If you want identical rackets you have to bring them to a customizer.

Sorry, i didn't read your question correctly. The only thing i can think of is that Donnay changed the specs and that one of the Donnays is a sort of prototype but that is not possible if you bought the rackets at the same time.

I didn't buy them at the same time.

So, the grip pallets all weigh the same? I changed the 4 1/8" grip to a 4 1/4" grip with new pallets.

I plan on changing the 3/8 to a 1/4 also. Will this make the weight and balance specs match?

No, it won't change the racquet balance to the top of the racquet. I recommend you to try out the grip 3 first before concluding any further customization. Get on top if you may prefer 320mm balance.
Myself, I use 318mm balance but use few grams of lead tape in the racquet head. Hence, another racquet would need to show a balance point around 320, surely not around 315.
X-P Dual is in my experience less powerful than comparable tweener sticks. But all in all it's a fun racquet to hit with.
