It's got the same numbers, but feels and plays better.
That's my hypothesis. Please weigh in with your thoughtful comments. (Thoughtless comments are also welcomed; heck, that's 92% of TTW [cry_laughing_emoji].)

I've found HG to be a very light weight string whereas lynx tour is a heavy string. This will significantly affect swing weight from the extra mass in the hoop from lighter or heavier string. Both have its pros and cons…heavier string will feel more sturdy at impact while the lighter string will allow easier racquet head acceleration. HG provides better bite/grip on the ball IMO.
So,I use it for mains with GW cross at 37/34.
HG is too low powered for me to use in full bed… I use it for mains with GW cross at 37/34. The control of HG makes it a great string at low tension
Lynx Tour is better than both Hyper G and YPTS. Lynx Tour has been one of the best strings I've played in a while. Works well in just about every frame and performs extremely well. Can anyone chime in on yonex poly tour spin and how it compares to hyper g and lynx tour? Is it heavy like lynx tour or light?
Both are excellent strings. Both are heavy strings and have a very meaty, full bodied feel on contact. Both are quite resistant to notching. How does Lynx Tour compare to T1 Black Knight?
I used HG 17g before and thought it was comfortable with loads of spin. Probably the most spin I have ever experienced due to a string.
But I switched to T1 Black Knight because it is similar but had a unique dwell feedback that I appreciated. Felt like I was putting more spin than HG, although probably wasn't as much. Both strings lasted forever too which I appreciated.
Surprised to hear this. Is Hyper G "soft" more powerful than regular Hyper G? Because regular Hyper G is very low powered. Regular Hyper G is definitely no more powerful than Lynx Tour.Have both, Lynx Tour in a Head Graphene Speed Pro and Hyper G 16L Soft in an Ezone 100 and def. prefer Hyper G for feel, pocketing and power (after broke in after an hour). Luckily both inexpensive so very easy to try out both.
If you measure the SW of a racquet strung with BK and then measure the same racquet strung with something like S7T you will see the difference.tier1 BK 17g/1.23 did not feel like that heavy of a string to me…
What level are you? Sounds like you’re 5.0+I like Lynx Tour for a few hours then it got really springy on me after that.
There is no such thing as lynx tour 1.20. At least publicly. If there is please post the link.I am trying out Head Lynx Tour 1.25 in my new Ezone 98 (2022). Used to play with Hyper G Soft, but the quick tension loss became a problem. I like the Lynx Tour. It has a predictable response and good touch.
But has anyone tried it in 1.20 mm? I wonder if it might give me a little more zip and spin and feel. And a reel of 1.20 mm is on sale right now, which got me wondering...
Out of interest; when you say it will significantly affect swingweight, what nr’s are we talking about?I've found HG to be a very light weight string whereas lynx tour is a heavy string. This will significantly affect swing weight from the extra mass in the hoop from lighter or heavier string. Both have its pros and cons…heavier string will feel more sturdy at impact while the lighter string will allow easier racquet head acceleration. HG provides better bite/grip on the ball IMO.
Hm, I understand. It's a hassle posting pictures here and I don't want to post a link to a competing website. But they must have made a mistake. The image of the reel says 1,25 mm, I noticed, but when I clicked to add it in my items I could only choose 1,20 mm. Mistake on their part, I guess, if it doesn't exist. There is no such thing as lynx tour 1.20. At least publicly. If there is please post the link.

Denis Fabian mentioned on a podcast that they were close to releasing 1.20 mm (but not thinner)I’ve just checked the Head website and they’ve only got Lynx Tour in 1.3 and 1.25…….
I've played with both, and prefer Hyper G Soft.Hyper g is caca, use cyclone or confidential, 1,25 or 1,30
Obviously it depends on the racquet, didnt want to go to deep into itI've played with both, and prefer Hyper G Soft.
Why you didnt like it? Meaning compard to 1.25.
I never tried the 1.20 mm. But when I restrung with Hyper G Soft I tried a different tension (48/46) and felt so at home and happy that I just said screw it, LT is not for me, regardless of gauge. Could be good, I don't know, but I figured I like softer setups so I sold the reel to a friend who really likes the string. Why you didnt like it? Meaning compard to 1.25.
Reels and sets are back available nowThere is. I'm from the UK and it's available thru T. Point
Lynx Tour 1.20mm soon to be released. The weight should be more equal with a standard 1.25mm string. This will alleviate the higher swingweight problem some have experienced with the heavy 1.25mm version.
Here's a list of Head Poly strings I have weighed. 1.20mm Lynx Tour not included as yet.
