I'm relatively fresh to dubs, only been playing for the past 2 years more competitively and I'm at the point where I'm looking to improve. Doubles drill to shift those new to doubles to a winning strategy from a singles mindset:

Play 10 or 100 points whatever you like.

Zero points given for a serve winner or a return winner. Points are only awarded if the serve or the return sets up 1 team at the net for a volley winner.

To conceptualize the shift. 2 partners at the net have a greater % opportunity to win thr point than a partner hitting an ace or return winner. Having a plan of placement on the return or a well placed serve increases that winning %.

Repeating that point over and over where there is a well placed serve or return then both setup at the net will lead to more wins over more types of opponents with consistency.

Then you can evolve into using signals for poaching and yada yada.
