While it has been said that Both Wawrinka and Acasuso use real flexpoint prestiges I have found something which makes me not so sure.

They both have the same buttcap on their frames as the ones used on the original PC 600.i.e. their buttcap is all black with a plain silver head logo.

However the real FXP prestiges have a buttcap which is grey around the edges and only black in the center.

If they are using the newer frames then why change the buttcap? Buttcaps are usually a tell-tale sign if someone is using an older frame. For example Hewitt has the old Yonex buttcap on his supposed RDS 001 which is obviously a SRD Tour 90.

What are your thoughts on the prestiges?

Butt caps are easy to change. Head uses the traditional one piece black butt cap for all their rackets when given to tour level and some junior players.

Oh ok thank very much. I didn't know Head had this policy of full black buttcaps for their tour players. I guess that answers any doubts I had about the two players using the flexpoint prestiges!

What Thomas said is true. It is also true that a vast majority of those Tour players are using Prestige Classic 600 and Pro Tour 630 with Flexpoint Paintjobs.

I use a wilson racquet, but with a head buttcap. Why? I don't like how much the buttcap flairs out on a wilson, and Jay at **** told me that a head buttcap has less flair and will fit just fine. He was right, and that's what I use on my racquets now. Buttcaps tell you nothing.

acacuso does not use a fxp prestige. i was ballboying at the us open and he broke his racquet. i have it , and the fxp holes are not there. he has lead under the caps grommets. and the buttcap is black.

srv vlly - are you sure he doesnt use the fxp? The actual fxp prestige has the holes, but you cannot see through them. Or did Acasusos racket simply not have any indentations at 3 and 9 o clock?

Do you have any pics?

Acasuso uses a PC600 ;)
How did I know? I actually asked himself :)

(Oh please, don't make me post 'REAL PROOFS' ... I didn't record on a tape the 5 mins conversation with the guy.....)

Why can't they do this on all of their rackets, the rectangualar grip on the new head models sucks, I hate it. You get heavy toppspin grip on a 2hb which is awful! It was less rectangular before on e.g. prestige classic and that was much better.
