dr98 vs dr100

I currently have the DR98 and am thinking about switching to the DR100

Main reason: stiffness

I feel like the DR98 @ 62 RA is too flexy for me--my serves are not as fast and powerful

maybe the DR100 with the 68 RA will be better....?

I'm a 4.0 player with a 2 Handed BH, 2nd serve kick that is too slow, semi western forehand grip

Im 42, so not looking to kill myself. My previous racket was the Prince TT 95, and that gave me HUGE shoulder pain....

I demoed both, thought I would prefer the 98. Turned out, I played exponentially better with the 100. It is stiff, but I had TW weight my pair up to help with some vibration. First use=won LOD MX doubles. Looking to swap out strings with natural gut.

I was in the same boat. I couldn't adapt to the flex of the DR98. The DR100 feels just about right for me.

I seem to prefer a softer, shaped poly around 53 lbs. , your results may vary.

Did you have the Prince Textreme Tour 95 or the older Triple Threat model? Both are referred to as TT.

If it was the Textreme Tour 95, was that too heavy for you? How would you compare the flex of the TT95 to the Yonex DR98?

I had the Textreme Tour 95. I think it was too heavy for me perhaps. Also, I could not get enough power on serves and forehands. I LOVED the precision and the surprisingly crisp feel of it though. One thing I really liked is it helped me when I train my son- who is 3- cause I could hit very soft, perfectly placed feeds to him to hit. ( zevtennis-dot-com)
As for flex, the Textreme felt crisper (stiffer?) compared to the DR 98- which just feels a little too muted-especially on shots that are a little off the sweet spot.

I guess I'm looking for a little more power. I tried the pure Aero tour---it feels like a giant spaceship to me--huge beam and also maybe too heavy---but it did add a lot of speed to my serves....

I'm thinking of demos for the following:
DR 100
Vcore SV 100
Pure Strike 100
