Draper, Tiafoe, Fritz -- who builds from here?

Which player is most likely to build on this run (post USO)?

Jack Draper, Frances Tiafoe, and Taylor Fritz -- at least one of these players will reach the US Open final.

However, post-US Open, which of these players is the most likely to continue their good form?

Fritz is arguably in his prime and finally delivering on what many expected from him earlier in his career. He has beaten Zed, a runner-up at previous Slams, can he now take over his spot?

Tiafoe seems to have come into the US Open in a better head space, and is showing some consistency for perhaps the first time in his career. Does it last beyond the USO?

Draper is younger than the other two, which gives me more time. However, he also seems more prone to injury and his movement is a little limited. Still, his big serve wins him a lot of free points.

It's hard to say without seeing how the three crucial matches still on the calendar turn out. However, just on general principles, it seems likely that Draper has the most upside, simply due to his youth. Fritz and Tiafoe, though still marginally improving, are more fully formed players. Draper is still possibly capable of a big leap upward.

Draper looks the likely player.

Honestly, they should all be looking to build off of this. I mean, Tiafoe built off of the Cincinnati final to get back to the USO semis.

I'd say Draper. This is his 1st SF in any big tournament, not just Slam level. The other two have had some success and they're older. He's only 22 and he should only be able to build and get better from here.

Tough to know what to expact from Tiafoe given he just seems to focus his entire life around this tournament. If he comes out of it happy maybe he'll go from strength to strength like he did after his run in 2022. If he comes out of it unhappy, like last year, maybe his entirely career will collapse again. At this point, I'm not sure he'll be happy with anything but the title. Hope that's not the case.

Fritz does genuinely seem to be getting better and better (relative to his competition anyway) so I would expect him to build going forward? I think?

Draper, by far the youngest of the three, is clearly on the way up. I'd expect him to have the biggest leap forward coming out of this. That said, this American summer is clearly his fave time of year. The 4 best runs of his life at the top level were Canada two years ago, Cincinnati this year, and these last 2 US Open runs. Will be interesting to see how he does elsewhere.

Most likely Draper cause he's the youngest and there's more unknown with him.

Maybe Tiafoe if he magically fixes up his technique because he flashes once in a while. I can also see him get too full of himself and get less motivated.

Fritz is what he is. He's more consistent than them so he'll probably keep doing what he's doing, but I don't think he's going to turn into a different player or anything like that.

Zip. Nada. Zero.

(I remember after Draper’s IW win, everyone trumpeting him as the next ATG. Nope.)

Era of Mugs.
