awesome question to Youzhny: "You beat Nadal, and now you faced Federer - Hard to beat them both, yes?"

Youzhny (laughing): "Its impossible!"

Perfect waste of good final Mikael Youzny, why did you have to waste everyone's time by beating rafa and making the final boring ?

Impossible, eh? Comments like that... Sigh. If he didn't believe in himself he already lost before the match even started. "Topspinmonkey" would've produced a better fight :P

For heaven's sake.... it's just something he said in the heat of an immediate post-match interview in a language that's not his own. And, if you didn't think he put up a good fight, I don't know which match you were watching.

Another moron on this board. Whatever a player said after the match was going to change the match result?

nobody can touch Federer right now. Federer could only lose hypothetical matches against past champions in the minds of some people.

man i wish nadal was better on hardcourts so fed could keep beating him and get the head to head to reflect who is actually the better tennis player. but then all the ********* wouldnt have anything to even talk about...

Yeah, I like Youzhny too. I wish I had got up this morning to watch the match.
Me too. His way of letting go of the racquet at the end of a rally and breaking into a wide smile is very nice to see. He was visibly enjoying himself in Dubai. He wasn't so much on the radar before, but does anyone know if he was always this way? Or can this be attributed to a coach-change like the recent resurgences by Roddick and Gonzalez?
