Dunlop Aerogel 1HUNDRED 100

Sorry I did do a search but did not find much (focused) talking about the Aerogel 100. Most threads are mainly about the 200/300.

Anyone already used this new stick? And your feedback? I like the specs cos they're closed to my Asian Ncode Tour 90.

Thanks.

When they become available, you might be able to order it from a .com in Germany (or maybe they'll sell it in other EU contries)...I just ordered an Aero 300 from England, after hearing about another person on this webboard ordering a 200.

Is there any logical reason why the Aerogel 100 will not be available in the US? It was the same thing with the MW 200G 90 and the HM 100G. Somebody ought to tell those marketing geniuses at Dunlop that tennis players in the US play with midsize racquets too, not just Europeans!

I was chatting with a Dunlop rep about the new Aerogel line and asked about the 100 model. He basically said that "the EU market is better" for the 90 sq. in. size. I then slyly changed the subject to the nCode 90 and how well that racquet sells. He just smiled and shrugged his shoulders.

Well, I think the dude who said it'll only be available in Germany's right. At any rate, I've just emailed outfitter.de to see if they'll ship to Canada. I'm still looking for a replacement for my beloved Wilson Pro Staff Tour Classic 6.6 85". It was awesome.

hey where abouts in canada are you... come by my house and we can play tennis with you 100 sometime ;) lol

The general feeling in Europe is that Americans tend to dismiss midsize frames too easily so they try to restrict their sale of midsizes to Europe only

Remu? You use a Redondo? I thought you used one of those Yonex RDS 001 (or 100... I forget).

Regardless, weird coincidence...

I probably won't hit with the Wilson K. I wasn't a huge fan of the ncode. Despite the similar shape and size, they don't feel anything like the 6.6 I used for the better part of a decade until I broke it last summer...

I just spoke to one of my friends who reps for Dunlop in one of their busiest markets. He tried every single frame available from Dunlop worldwide and here is the scoop on the Aerogel 100: 90 sq. in. headsize, 16x19 string pattern, 27 inches long, 11.5 ounces strung, and flex around 58-60. He said the frame hit great but he sees a very slim chance that it will make its way to the USA market. I will post a detailed review as soon as I get one of these sticks.

wait, it cant be 11.5 oz strung? maybe unstrung, but 11.5 strung would make no sense for a 90 inch frame :|

I recon it is great, 1, for customization its great, 2, its great because there isnt any other racquets like it on the market, 3 alot of people want to use a small head but cant handle the weight.

Good Job Dunlop

a lot of people want to use a small head but cant handle the weight.

that is very true. the racquet looks very appealing to me and since i like a smaller head and a weight around 11.5-11.8 ounces, the racquet looks great.
by the way, whats the swingweight?

Yeah Duz, Aus will have them, i was going to get a 100g from adelaide when i was over there a couple of months back.

Don't bank on it. We might get the Aerogel 100 but, if we do, I don't think it will be widely available. I've been dealing with Dunlop recently and the reps were still unsure of exactly which models they'd be bringing in (which string pattern of the 200 and 300) and what the distribution would be. The old 100G didn't sell very well at all and, in their opinion, 90sq isn't a highly viable market over here so it's best left to larger concerns like Wilson or Head who can afford to absorb a loss or lower sales in that area.

I think this might be true, but for people who actually play tennis rather than mr/mrs average, it absolutely sucks. I currently use the HM100G which I cannot find any more of in Aus. This racquet is awesome for aggressive players. Kicks my mfil200. I am pretty sure it is still used by Alicia Molik and Tomas Berdych. Molik's racquet says 300G but that is rubbish because it is 18x20 in the photos and just look closely at the headsize. Tomas has the new PJ but the head is definitely 90 and the strings 18x20, so it is not the new 100. I hate the misleading info from tennis manufacturers.

Even in AUS the HM100G was hard to get. Why the *&^%$*& does dunlop allow their tour players to still get racquets that it is impossible for the public to buy?

BTW, it is 11.5 strung and swings very light (compared with mfil). Put some lead at 9 & 3 and cannot believe how good this racquet is. There does not seem to be anything like it on the market re specs.

That's interesting because that goes against the popular notion that you need a bigger headed racquet to play well on clay. I guess all those European clay-courters know better. ;)

btw, whats the SW?

So you're saying that Europeans don't know how to play on clay?

I'm sorry but, were you dropped on your head as a child?

Of course, that would explain why you write so much drivel, the dismal standard of your comparative reviews, why your comprehension skills seem to be those of a pre-schooler and the overall standard of your behaviour on this message board.

Poor Breakpoint! He hasn't posted since.

Come back Bp, AndrewD didn't mean it!
OK, I'm back. :D

Now how's this for an anatomy of an unsolicited attack? Who's the offensive one here? Below are my only two posts in this thread (excluding this one). All quotes below are unedited and copied from above:

You guessed wrong.

Did I attack anyone? Was I offensive? Was I rude in any way?

Instead of answering my simple question, I get personally attacked instead. Is it any wonder I constantly find myself needing to defend myself on this board?
