I'm glad that the 4D100 kept this serving 'ability' the old AG100 has. It serves huge as well.
Not having much luck with this frame. Added 8 grams to the handle, wilson leather, 8 grams at 3 and 9 and 4 grams at 12, still too unstable for me. Any suggestions?
Well, this weekend I tried playing with 6g @3&9, instead of the usual 5g, and although it felt nice and played nice, I lost considerably racquet speed, which made my shots suffer sometimes( getting late to the ball ).
This is exactly what it comes down to for me, DaD. I love the solid, heavy feel on my groundstrokes the tape provides. But head speed on serves is the first to go.
It's so important to remember that what works for one of us isn't necessarily the answer for all of us. So much depends on strength, fitness, and technical proficiency.
Tried my 4D100 with natty gut mains @ 60 and an RAB poly in crosses at 54. Still too lively, so I took out my other one which still has stock strings and it played much nicer. Need to cut out the gut/poly combo and try full Beast XP at around 55.
Still playing stock + overgrip + dampener and enjoying the extra racket head speed (other main sticks are the 4D200Tour and AG200 18x20). Don't know if it will last, but it's nice at the moment...
thanks for the quick response. is that a total of 5g or 5g at 3 and 5g at 9?
I've settled with 6g total at 3&9. Contemplated bumping it up to 8g, but decided not to, as I didn't want to lose manoeuverability.
It's 5g total( 2.5g @ each side ). It plays a lot differently now, in stock form it even felt kinda boardy.
Now I think I found a great playing hybrid that is also a fantastic value.
Polystar Energy mains (@53#) and Forten Sweet crosses (@55#).
Great buttery feel with what seems to me to be a larger sweet spot and plenty of controllable power. Feels great from the baseline , mid court and at the net.
A friend of mine has been testing the Bio100 for over a month now and told me that the SW seems to be greater than the AG100's. He doesn't even use lead tape and leather grip anymore( used to have both installed on the AG100 ).
Also, he said that it feels more solid and with a bigger SS. In his opinion, this iteration is much better than the previous 2( AG and 4D ).
Well, I don't plan to change my 7 4D100s soon, mostly because the setup I'm using now has been working perfectly.
But Dunlop seems to have heard the enormous number of claims to raise the SW.
Had to write since my wife is tired of hearing me talk about it

I didn't like the Bio 100 compare to my AG100s.
lower SW and unstable.
WOW...what a difference 5g makes. might have to drop to 4g after restringing.
sweet tho.![]()
Talked to a friend of mine, who works with Dunlop Rep, the mold of Bio 100 is exactly the 4D 100 ones. If that is the case the only differences are the HM6 Carbon and a new PJ.
Anyone know what the B100 will retail for when it hits the stores?
KLE (and all), I'm not terribly surprised by that news. You have to try pretty hard to make distinctions between the AG100 and 4D100 (and even then, I suspect those distinctions are mostly perception or frame variance).
I can say this because I've owned and played with both for several years.
It's good marketing to make your customers think they're getting something new, even if only in the form of a different technology name or paint job.
I'm not suggesting the frames are identical, just that the improvements are likely minimal. Still, we all have our little quirks that make us gravitate toward one model or the other. I play mostly with the 4Ds. And if you asked me why, and I was completely honest about it, I'd tell you that I really didn't know for sure other than I just feel a little better holding the 4Ds. But if you stuck an AG in my hands, I wouldn't even be thinking about which model I was using after a few points.
All this said, errr typed, I still can't wait to get my hands on a BM100.
Damp, you might also try the 200 Lite. Reminded me of the 100...
Ditto. On Sunday I won 6-1, 6-4 with my trusty AG 4D 100. My B200 Lite arrived this week and it feels like a much more spin-friendly version of the 100. Easy transition.

using 17g sweet and energyWhat string gauge did you use for the hybrid?
ive got one coming in next week from TWE.. i use vantage racquets, i have both the vantage 90 and 95 but have been using the 90 lately, so should be interesting to compare. I've never tried a dunlop racquet before
be sure to let us know what you think of the racquet
Been hitting with my BM-100 (stock) for over a month now. Tried different string set- ups at different string tension levels with poly/multi; multi/poly; and finally settled with gut main/multi cross @ 57/55 lbs. to eliminate shoulder and elbow pains. Coming from a PSL I was immediately falling in love with this stick.
Been experimenting with weights lately. Placed 3g. lead each at 3 & 9 o'clock to improve torsion stability. Did not place lead at 12 o'clock as I have a Gamma scratch guard taped over the full length of bumpers. This set-up produced more power, pop,and stability especially in the volleys, returns and service departments.
Now I am trying to bring this stick even to a higher level of performance (foot in mouth). Stripped off the Gecko grip, placed 3g. lead around handle 7" from butt, and put on a Babolat leather grip to enhance feel and to correct balance. Will find out if I'm right when I swing this stick this weekend.
Customizing this stick is driving me crazy. Possibilities are endless, results are awesome. Its like modifying a stock car for the next slalom. What a great Stick!!
I've just received it today, but i cant test it out for at least another week or so, sprained my ankle a few days ago
AIMR, does Bio 100 look more rounded at the edges to you in comparison to the 4D 100 ?
