Dunlop AG 4D 300 Flex Seem Incorrect??

I realize that the stiffness ratings do not often represent the actual stiffness one "feels" when playing with a frame - but I really feel something is off with the Dunlop Aerogel 4D 300 Tour. When I demoed this frame, it felt like one of the more flexible frames I have EVER tried, and no where near the 63 RA value listed. Does anyone else agree? For me, the difference was so extreme I honestly wonder if there was something else wrong (the strings and/or "structural" differences in the demo frames). Any feedback would be appreciated.

I thought the same thing. I think the upper hoop flexes a lot. I put lead @ 12 and it felt WAY more solid. I've never felt such a huge improvement after just 6 grams of lead.

I tried lead as well, and though it helps the sweet spot and stability, the frame still flexes a lot. I don't know that there's anything that can help if the upper hoop is indeed that flexy ...

Try using some 17g co-poly at mid-high tension - that changes the feel of the stringbed. I recommend the string in my sig at 61lbs. I just had my 4D tour strung last week like that and really like the result (I have a just a few inches of lead on 3 9 and 12, for a bit more stability and bite).

If that doesn't help you can always try out KBlade98 - it has a more solid feel, but is very similar to 4D tour play wise - 4D is sharper feeling, KBlade more forgiving.
