Dunlop Bio Max 200g v. Wilson BLX 6.1 95

Hello all,
I am giving up my year love affair with the Head Prestige Pro, I played 6 days straight last week and it began to dominate my arm.

These rackets I've tested and dismissed as not a good replacement for me:
1. Prestige MP
2. Radical Pro

The Dunlop BMax 200g and Wilson BLX 6.1 95 two I am considering, any other suggestions on demos?

Dunlop BMax 200g likes:
a. Serve placement
b. one handed backhand comfort and control
c. volleys
d. arm

Wilson BLX 6.1 95 likes:
a. Serve power
b. Similar forehand plow as the prestige

Specs for both:
Strung:
Wilson 11.5 oz, Dunlop: 11.7 oz
Wilson SW: 306 Dunlop: 318
Wilson: 7 pts. HL Dunlop: 5 pts.
Stiffness: Wilson 62 Dunlop 65

I think I like the Dunlop more for maneuverability, even though looking at the specs that doesn't make sense, maybe I am ignorant of something.

Any suggested demos based on this feedback? Thanks in advance

I got the ps 95 here is my feedback
1. Great on serve power and placement
2. Improved my backhand topspin as its very fast in the air
3. Lost control on my backhand slice
4. Drop shots is incredibly accurate
5. Lacks power and had to add lead tape at 12
6. Against a heavy ball i feel it is a bit unstable

Hey mate.

I've recently converted to the Bio Max 200Gs (from BLX Blade 98s), and briefly tested a ProStaff 6.1 95 before I switched. I felt the Dunlop's sweet spot was bigger, or the racquet was generally more forgiving. The Dunlop has a taller hoop, more elongated, than any wilson. It actually felt a bit weird to me for a while, but looks normal now (I had a hit with a friend's Head racquet recently and it felt like almost perfect circle :)

Anyway, where are you in Texas? If you're in Houston I'd be happy to have a hit with you so you could try both racquets. I've put the PS 6.1 up for sale on the forums but the post is under admin scrutiny so still have it for the near future.

Heh, just saw this post was from A YEAR AGO! Must've followed a link from Teh Googlé. You've probably sorted yourself out by now ;P

I like the BLX 6.1 95 in the 16x18 a great deal... unless you have a more compact 1 handed backhand Id go with that. the Bio 200 has a great forehand and is nice on slice serves but I had trouble makeing it headlight enough for my extreme eastern BH. It is great for slice backhands.

The 6.1 BLX (not the prostaff one) 16 x18 is a monster of a frame. The one problem with it is it might be string sensitive and spray returns because it does have more than a little power (that is still very controllable). Look at the Dunlop Biomimetic tour too, god that thing is nice and once dialed in has a very 1980's prostaffy feel.
